According to this, mages are once again going to be the OP class. Frost mages over everything except Aff locks and Fury warriors? LOLOL
i'd be curious to know if it was afflock or destro, i LFR'd for the first time on a dusted off demo lock, and while i had some terrible gear to get my foot in the door (pvp/spirit/2 trinkets + BoE's) to avoid doing heroics, i was hitting 20k , next to me in recount was an affloc doing 22k, next LFR, the other lock was in destro, lock hit 70k on madness, only to be beaten by the rogue at 115k ... which i thought was odd. and after parsing my combat logs, he did 8 mill dmg, while the rest of us hit 2-3 million or so (.. i had no idea there's ilvl 416 boots...) sure, if i knew what i was doing, it would have been more fun, but yeah, my vote is now for rogues, jeez.

He is half way right because dps as it is will mean nothing once we level to 90 however we have to deal with OP ret pallys and shadow priests for a couple of weeks while we still at 85
You actually can, and it's the logical thing to do, that's why they didn't release MoP in the middle of the Arena season. You can safely conclude from the Beta that the following classes have a lot of potential, one way or another. -Druids got much love. Moving things around in a class too much typically results in OP'ness. -DK's got some negative attention, probably will start as a very nerfed class at 90. Yes, I know they still kick ass at 85 now. -Paladins are massively OP and will be so the first season. -Priests have a lot of potential, depends on how it will play out, but it's there. -Monks are a new class, and a new class is like a new car - it starts strong. -Locks got massive overhauls all over the board, this means they will melt faces, again. Basically, here is how things will play out for everyone, if we ask the question a bit more differently, like What is the most OP class for each role Tanks -Death Knights -Paladins -Monks -Druids and Warriors sharing the last spot DPS -Locks, Monks -Druids -Rogues -Hunters -Priests -Shamans -Mages, as they tried to make them a bit more complex, so this may play out very much against them. Healers -Monk -Shaman -Druid -Priest, Paladin PVP -Monk -Lock, as a support class. -DK -Paladins -Priests, as Heals -Druids -Shamans, as Heals -Hunters -Rogues -Warriors -Mage, for old times sake.
@kronz, Where is the position of warriors in ur chart for dps? what is ur definition for being the OP or best tank? Survivability or dps or self healing, maybe soloing old contents? I can tell u, at the beginning of expansion there will be no OP class, because all healers gonna cry for mana regen, all tanks will get 2 shoted in dungeons and all dps will screw all their stats to be hit capped / expertise capped.... When they survive heroic dungeons and get some shiny blue heroic gear with craft epics etc they will start raiding and same story, healers gonna cry for mana regen, tanks gonna be 2 shotted ....... At the end of 3 months nobody gonna give a shit which class is OP which is weak since all will be geared and doing fine. PvP section is a bit more different. All classes who can run properly and hide behind pillars in arena will be OPed and rest gonna fail. (PVP is for kiddos who like hide and seek instead of a good fight against a powerful boss)
Paladin as of now has OP holy, with high hits, but alot of people forget these talents are based on level 90 stats, so in the end warlock will probably be op and paladin wont, as the poll suggests
Please explain me how PvP is for kiddos, if anything PVE is, its the same tactic over and over again, and if you fail in pve in a guild you should be fucking ashamed, the tactics are handed to you before you even start the fight, in PvP the tactic changes every opponent you have every second.
Sorry if I made u offended with my comments about pvp, but this game is a fantasy MMORPG and there is a lore that we follow. I always enjoyed world pvp and battle grounds, but not arena. Most of the comments about being weak or OP in PVP section regards to Arena balance but not others. I still think the same thing, arena is just an hide and seek game and starts to be boring after 2 matches. for a dps it is just "target healer kill it" and for a healer it is "run away little girl run away".... If u think that u are pro just because u make some interrupts and CC during a fight that is just funny. That is why the game should not be balance according to arena matches. Lets get back to the topic there will be no arena balance ever in game, and most melee classes and healer will be OP or superior at least. Cause when u cant kill a healer u always think because he or she is OP..... Or as a caster when u got killed by a rogue or DK with lots of silence CC etc, u think they are OP.... PVE: I think everything gonna be fine. It is obvious blizz trying to fix their past mistakes with fixing and buffing warlock class which is a "pure dps" class and must be one of the top dps classes in game.
certainly EVERY class is OP "IF" used right.. since this new patch hit my friends are I have came across at least 1 player of each class to be considered OP. So, imo.. I don't think any class is OP over a class everything is more balanced as long as you know what you're doing
