Hey guys, i was caught in the (teeny tiny) ban wave for the abuse of the economy bull crap. Heres original post of when i got perma banned: http://www.buddyforum.de/showthread.php?5983-Banned... Heres how I did it: I called them as e-mail takes wayyyyy to long, and waited for an hour and 10 min on hold, (shit blizz), and got on the phone with a representative. I told him what had happened, and then made up the story that someone had gotten a hold of my e-mail and was sending spam with it, he said, "Yeah! Thats NO BUENO!" And forwarded it up to the Account Administrators. Another thing that kind of goes hand and hand with this story is my iPhone 3GS can stream internet through to my computer (tether it), thus giving my computer a different IP Address, and when you log into wow, Blizzard logs that IP Address. When they investigate and notice that a different IP has been logging into my account, they are going to think its hacked because of my e-mail being compromised. And heres the e-mail I recieved this morning: Code: Greetings, We have restored access to World of Warcraft account LULSNOYOUCANTHAVEIT and reset the password to this account. It may take up to one hour for our system to generate and send the new password. If you have not received a password within one hour of this message's delivery, please check your Spam, Junk, or Suspect Mail folders. If you are still unable to locate the email containing your new password, please contact us using this form: http://us.blizzard.com/support/webform-us.xml. After logging in, if you notice any items, gold, or anything else missing from a character on this account, please submit an in-game petition. A Game Master will contact you as soon as possible to help resolve the issue. Please note that the Account Administration department is unable to assist players in the restoration of missing items. We encourage you to keep the following security tips in mind when playing World of Warcraft on any computer: - Keep your login information confidential. Account access can only be shared with one minor of whom you are the parent or guardian. Sharing access with anyone else is a violation of the game's Terms of Use. You are also responsible for every use of an account on which you are listed as the registered player, whether the use was authorized or not. - Use up-to-date firewall, antivirus, and anti-spyware software to scan your system regularly for viruses, Trojans, and key-loggers. - Keep your operating system and other software up-to-date and be careful when downloading new software. - Be wary of "spoof" and scam websites and e-mails that pose as Blizzard Entertainment and request account or personal information. As a reminder, Blizzard Entertainment representatives will *never* ask you for your password. - Use separate, unique passwords for your email, World of Warcraft, and any other online accounts. - Change your passwords regularly and keep World of Warcraft account information updated using the Account Management page at http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/account/. Feel free to contact us at wowaccountadmin@blizzard.com with any further questions you may have. Sincerely, Account & Technical Services Blizzard Entertainment www.blizzard.com I reset my password from a different e-mail, the representative changed my e-mail while I was over the phone, and put an authenticator on it. So all is good
Simply logging in from another location once or twice a week could be the key to getting the account back, then.
bud, word of advice, if 1 of the blizzard trolls see your account user name like it is right there in that unbanned letter, say bye to your account again LOL...... I'd remove it..
I do not see my account name anywhere in there If your thinking LULSNOYOUCANTHAVEIT is my account name, its not :/
Alltought it's good to know how to bypass blizz, i'm sure they already known that this has been posted here. Be carefull on what you post in here. We wont know for sure if bliz is monitoring it here or not. Anyways, congrats on recovering you acc back.
Completely opposite happened, I changed ip too often and that attracted attention to my account, first they changed the keys and asked for documents, after that they banned account as they said for selling gold - I replied that never sold any gold, they answered - ok, we check the logs and you are botting - you was in the same location for too long and we was moving you character and you didn't response, sorry, there is no point in our discussion.
