Only thing that upsets me so far about the x-realm crap is that fact that rare spawn are now shared...
I have read the EULA, I actually read shit before I sign it. Blizzard can ban you because it doesn't like the color of your socks. That doesn't change one whit of what I said. And, if you are going to state as fact your knowledge of what Blizzard thinks or especially of how it interprets its legalese then please back it up with a link or other quotable proof. (Though I do agree with the original idea that you are better off crafting something from the cheap mat but only because if you choose the right mat and the right craft your profit increases significantly over that from just the resale of the mat.)
You can use the new Xrealm to your advantage if you want to. Make a trial account on your botting account. Launch the trial account and make a level 1 on a server you want to bot on - low population ones of course. 8) Group up with the level 1 and make it leader. /inv trialnewbie-realmname Go farm. You will need some kind of anti afk so it doesn't log you out after a while though but I'm sure you guys can figure that out. You can get creative as well and log into different level 1 toons on the trial account on different realms and then just switch to the new level 1 leader every so often so you will now be farming on a different server. Less chance of reports if you switch servers every hour lol...
This would be great, if it worked. When the trial account joins the party it crosses to my server but when I give the trail account leader nothing happens and it wont cross to the trial accounts server. I'm guessing you need a full active account for your party to cross realm to your server when leader. edit: Just tried it with my main account to see if this would actually work and it doesn't with a lvl 1 regardless. It sticks with the 85's server even when I am passed leader. Maybe there is some sort of lvl cap for the party to be crossed to your server regardless of who is leader.
I was doing this for a couple of hours the other day and it was working great except every once in a while I would get kicked from the game on one of the non leader toons as it was switching. I had two druids farming with a couple level 1s on a trial account as the leader and I would log out on the level 1 and log into another level 1 and pass leader once the timeout (3 minutes being offline I believe) of the logged out level one occured. The druids were in Northrend Sholazar and Borean if it makes any difference and I could see the nodes appear in front of the druids as the leader changed as well as the time of day changed so I know it was working. The level 1s were in Northshire abbey if that matters... I am currently on a business trip so will check again when I get home but maybe Blizzard patched this with all the problems they are having with xrealm...
It seems they have patched it Found some forum posts about it. People were making raids and switching servers to farm darkmoon rabbit, theres also many other uses for it as well. So they patched it Now it seems to be random to what server it chooses or it uses the highest level in the party..... Not sure. Or maybe the party leader has no effect on the server cross.
Guys the Cross Realm Zones only for non Level 85/90 Players. On High End level you wouldn't see any other people from other realms.
Not true. Have had 85s camping my bots for days now. They are coming in packs, killing players/bots, while others farm.
X-realm makes it worse. Now the high pop server is even more populated. The areas that used to be low/mod pop are now flooded with people. Our VERY HIGH, high pop server is now overrun in all the little nooks & crannies.
Yep this is my problem too, I'm on one of the highest pop servers in the game.... CRZ is not needed, even in the most popular leveling up zones you will always find atleast 7+ players which is plenty for old leveling content. Now there's just too many and makes it frustrating to level in some areas. I expect to wait for mobs in new areas when an expansion hits. Not 1-4 year old content.
I just got a chance to test this again and they have fixed it in this way it seems: The higher level character in the group has the group switch to his realm. If the toons are equal levels it depends on who is leader still but it does not switch with switching leaders only by remaking the group. You could do this with 2 accounts but you would have to level a toon on that server to the same level as your farming toon. This might not be a bad idea at all anyway if you have 2 or more accounts that you farm on. Just bot up a level 85 on the low population realm in a few days and you will be farming almost virgin content. You can group your toons and set one not to loot and let them grind farm so your toon from your high pop server picks up all the loot as well...
i suppose northrend is part of pandaria, because i've seen tons of people from different severs.. do no pass go , do not collect $200
Yeah I can confirm that it's fixed too, although there is no hard proof on how it chooses the server now from your party. If you already have alternate accounts it's worth a shot to test it out though. Are you 100% positive it will choose the higher level's server or if both members are equal it will go to the leader?
I watched on both screens as I joined and disjoined them up. I picked a person in the starting zone to watch on each screen and when I joined them up that person would fade out on one screen and pop in on the other screen. I tried it multiple times with level 85s and level ones and once with an 81 and 82... If I make a group with 2 level ones and then invite an 85 it switches to the 85s server as well so it seems it switches based on the highest level in the group even after the group is formed.
Makes sense. I guess it's to prevent people from making lvl 1 starter accounts to cross servers. Wonder what it does if both players are the same level? I'm guessing it goes with the party leader when both are 85?
I farm pet (companion) disgusting oozeling at swam of sorrow, now its getting harder, sharing mob (not realy sure) and get killed alot by other faction if u are on PvP server (which in by player from different realm), im using lvl 64 to farm. AND THE WORST THING, MY BOT KILL MY OTHER BOT ..... funny
