This is a typical thought of Blizzard. I dunno who initializes this type of thinking at Blizzard. but to me! It seems obvious they don't play the game. In 8 years, the ONLY time I have ever quested with anyone (usually one of my family members) is when a place like Crucible of Carnage or the LK one, Amphitheater and the ilk require me to do it since I can't solo them. I spent many hours and days doing the math and testing on which was the faster way to level A.) Solo level w/ instance running or B.) Joined leveling with instance running. I knew the answer before I did the xp number crunching but wanted to check to make sure. When Joined, yes, You will do more quests But you lose all xp gained from getting to the quest items when killing mobs on the way and the xp you get from those you do kill is 1/3rd to 1/2 less xp. Now if you happen to have a profession while joined questing, often times the others you're with don't' want to wait around while you go get that node or go get that flower to pick or skin everything you can and that is a negative during the leveling process. All quests give every player the same xp though. In the end it came out to be better to solo quest when you added in the negative variables of Joined questing. So the point is. that those at Blizzard once again prove they are great programmers, but should never be making decisions about how the game works in the real way of things. Cross realm is a negative. I mean lately for instance while running one of my last toons though the end game instances, I've been grouped with many people from Brazil. Suffice it to say, they are simply not near at good at playing the game as the others in the group and then the language barier is a huge issue, when you see that the tank from Brazil has no idea what they are doing. You can't help them if you can't speak the language. And people aren't going to wait around while you go find some translation site online. Not to mention that before the change to the loot system , they needed on everything. Bottom line is that cross realm is, was and will continue to be a bad thing. For all that has been mentioned by others and for the reasons I've listed. The WOW forums are full of negative threads about it and yet Blizzard still implemented it. See Blizzard DOES NOT CARE WHAT WE LIKE OR WANT.
Pisses me off, its now on my realm. I can usually fish in Sholazar no problems with nobody around but now today I lasted 10 mins before I'm being ganked from people on other servers
Every zone except cities are populated on my server, by other servers. Including 80+ zones It's made fun and also made a pain.. so win/lose. World PvP.. less resources.. etc.
Same here. And im on the biggest realm in EU, and funny enough there are people from no more than 6 other high pop servers in my "cross realm group" shit.
I HATE THIS CROSS REALM SHITTTTTT !!!!! ALL PLSSSSSS post on Officail site that we dont want that.. Infront of the Citis its fine.... but NOT farming and ALL quest areas! WTF BLIZZ srsly :had to bitch somewhere outside blizz forums .. -.- even a few of my guildys posted on offical since they support me Your right but they Should or we all can soon go into a court case fight since they are soon violating there rules... They say that they give us a Game we Like and Enjoy(since they need us/even botters). We ALL are paying for a Service wich should get custemized for our wishes(atleast with 51% of WoW players Vote for NO CROSS REALM) they should change it..
I am to, and the place i farm always had 0-1 players in it. I logged in this morning and there was 12 in a line going the same route....
Yes - I have to reconcider my previous statements. Wintersping - my main source of gold income is now crowded with other players from x-realms. I could ofc do matts instead - but things are looking grim at the moment
Someone posted a way to block CRZ, its done with some sort of firewall.. but does anyone know if say for example I have my firewall on so that i'm not interacting with anyone cross-realm meaning they cant see me and I cant see them and if im running torwards a node/mob about to mine/herb it and so are they (but we cant see each other) will that node/mob dissapear if they grab it first?
I tried to quest on my druid yday and there were high lvls on almost every zone i went, killing mobs so i couldn't get my quest items. this is very annoying when trying to lvl and i can see this being a problem. Also my pet and boe green transmog farms gonna be harder , since theres more competition, people and inc reports . :/ Not to mention the already flooded zones like uldum wheres tons of more people now. And there will be those people acting police and mass reporting everyone.
Yeah I'm not even going to bother questing any more at this rate. Whether you're botting or leveling legitimately there's just too many griefers. I've got no problem with being ganked every so often while leveling and I expected it on a pvp server. But now it's just ridiculous.
Doing the Molten Front dailies is impossible right now. I estimated around 55+ people in that small area doing nothing but PvPing and tagging kills.
