A Rat in the Forum!

I just got reported on Wow by a guy that is on this forum..What are the chances of me actually getting banned if he really did send a report in? New to this and Wow

 

How do you know he's on this forum?

 

He says he got my character name off of a .txt that i posted on this website and even knew my username, and reported me, seemed to have some fetish off of banning people..straight WoW nerd

 

He is lying... NO logs contain information like that.

 

??? wow crashed so i posted the error log from that and i posted the error i got from HB..why would i lie?

From all the posts you made could you maybe find the file and link it ? You can't have posted that many and i guess it's a newer one.

i removed the wow log .txt once someone pointed out that it had too much info on it

 

Aha yea well that's the problem then :/ Careful with what you upload even screenshots needs to be taken with a thirdparty software like fraps or screencap your desktop, and names/chat needs to be blurred.
My advice would be just don't bot for a while or atleast verry limited if you feel the urge to do so.

and to answer your question:

It's a bug i guess.. HB is in a test release and is not for new users really. Since it's a test release everything is still buggy and getting fixed whenever someone is reporting and providing logs.

Lol i agree no matter how dirty that word is! But yea never report someone that's in the same boat as you not even if they steal your food and bang your wife.

lol no, gm doesnt know i bot but im sure he wouldnt care, my gm didnt report me, a wow nerd B$%^& from this forum reported me bc he got my character name off of a wowcrash.txt that i posted which had my character name on it..<<Dumbass i know..but i didnt know

He told me he doesnt bot he just gets on here to find ways of getting people banned for cheating and has been playing for 7 years

 

Actually, tons of logs contain your own name if it's the file directory (i.e. C:\Users\Your Name\Documents\Honorbuddy). Character names are commonly in the logs too, I did a search before on my own and my character name showed up to HB even though I didn't post the log and never stated anything that would cause Google to cache it. Another user just posted their log which is why.

 

Sounds like that guy needs a new hobby, or like just get laid once in a while.
Unless he think's he the anti bot Batman or something and actually finds this a viable use of his life.

 

I didnt mean YOU were lying. I'm sorry, but I didnt know anyone would post a wow log with information like that on it here on the forums, so i assumed the guy calling you out was just guessing (because no HB log contains character name etc...)

I wouldn't worry much about getting banned from a nerd watching these forums, I would be more worried about that large sum of gold you transfered.

 

Yep. My main GM knows I bot, and doesn't really care, since I just buy shit for the guild and supply everything we need for our raids.
Then one day I asked him if he could hold onto some gold, it was like 200k or something, traded it, he got insta-ban from the automated systems haha.
He was a little pissed, but in the end it was all sorted out because they checked our in-game chat logs and we'd been talking about why he was holding onto it.
