Why not doing the test ? You are scared about it ? ;)

If they are enough clever to program a behavior filter, you should be aware of it. It's not 100% software detection... but...

With respect, you are hogging the thread. Its not about you - let people who have been suspended post a while.

wow...just wow.. attitude much? I think these guys have been an excellent source of information since I started using them. there is no deception here or lack of ability in providing information. you say you are not scared of losing an account yet you shut your bots down, while many of us still have ours going. nothing says "hey i'm guilty" and changing your daily habits.

I was banned, and im 99% sure it was player reported, it was a 72 hour. I appealed it. They removed the ban.
If it was a ban wave they would tell me to go F*** my self and perma ban me.

      Honorbuddy is safe
The people here will take great care of you.

Just keep reading the forums from the big guys,
They will tell you everything you need to know

All the 72h bans were on 14/6/2010, which I doubt its player report, or they just gathered all player reports and decided to suspend all of those on the same day.

As we talked in chat this morning, it's a scare tactic. Save up the bans do them all in one day and watch the bot forums become flooded with " OMG IT'S A BANWAVE" . Did it make you stop botting, even for a short bit, if so tactic worked, if you kept botting then yay!

On US Servers the 72hr bans usually go out on Thursday nights around 9pm or thereabouts. To me the idea is so that people don't get their accounts back until Sunday night late so they loose the weekend to play with accounts. Mean Blizzard mean!!!

So yes. These bans are saved up and dished out on Thursdays now do they save for 1 week or 2 weeks or more I do not know but they do save them up.

Again my belief is that we are seeing several kinds of reports all of the same level of action being dealt out together. I believe we have player reports and some sort of filter. Because player reports are not concrete and filters also can catch good players the bans are only temp 72hrs.

I swear its the crappy auto-pathing. Bots hanging to often and wouldnt unstuck himself. So we get massiv more reports and bans.

My 4 year old likes watching Honorbuddy grind on the "dinosaurs" in Zul' Drak. I've started letting him sit at the keyboard and button mash and move the character. HB usually autocorrects and accomplishes things. The result sometimes makes me laugh, but if I ever get reported I'll likely bring this story up. :)

It's easy.. if everyone got banned=banwave. if it's just you=bad luck.

I very, very rarely post around here. i just wanted to throw something out there. ;)

With HB/GB, I've gotten 5 chars to 80, made over 240k gold, maxed pvp gear on each char, AND found the Time-Lost proto using a modified version of the profile posted here. I bot safely, during non peak times. I check up on them from time to time. I never HB unattended. GB has run through the night for me often enough, but i sleep better with it off. ;)

Anyway, during the past few months of all this, there have been a few other times where a "banwave" hit. Except it wasn't a banwave. And it still isn't. Cause trust me, if there was a banwave, I'd be so banned. I pretty much own the AH potions and herbs on my server. Still no ban. So like, if they had a way to detect, there's just no way they'd leave me alone. Unless I'm just too sexy. Too sexy for my shirt. Too sexy for my shirt. So sexy, it hurts.

So my 72 hr ban ended yesterday, how often does blizzard check up on a recently banned account? would it be safe for me to turn it back on or should i not do it on this account or take a break or what? I took a hunter (first toon on account) from 1-58 and never had any issues then i started using mixed setting and got hit with the B-Hammer. not sure if the two are related but it would be my guess that they are.. just curious if you guys think its safe for me to continue in quest/grind mode or if they will be checking up on me. Thanks

I always just go right back to botting. I had 2 chars banned one at 74 and the other at 79 last month. Started them up after the 72h was over and they have both hit 80 and been on GB ever since(knock on wood). I've also had another character hit with a 72 in the mid 60's back in March. He has been on GB for 4 months now no issues (knockity knock knock again).
