Every 5 minutes il get disconnected from WoW and then il have to start gatherbuddy up again and then il have to wait 15 minutes for a warden check then il get on for 5 more minutes disconnect rinse repeat. Edit: Just noticed I posted in GB forum :/
Well you are posting about GatherBuddy arent you? I have noticed frequent DCes from Warden Checks as well. Ive read somewhere that it was something about .Net Framework, try a reinstall.
Ive been having funny issues with this within the late few weeks too. Oddly though, it happened yesterday but it only d/c'ed one of the clients. The other one playing on the same computer didnt dc. yet when i went back to load up hb and gb it said warden waqs scanning. begs the question, what exactly does warden scan, because only one wow client got dc'ed
Naw i mean't to post on honorbuddy forums. but anyway this morning i woke up and I saw I was disconnected. Logged in WoW closed had to ctrl+alt+del task manager end honorbuddy then i opened up wow - opened up honorbuddy only it had to warden scan. I went and came back 15 minutes later and I was disconnected again and i did the same thing and warden scan came up again.
A little bit of an explanation.... when you launch GB or HB it checks the tripwire page here to see if anything is going on, and if something's wrong it won't launch. When you crash hard in some cases, HB/GB thinks it may be because of a warden update and sets a 15 minute timer so that if something IS going on, the tripwire page can be updated. That 15 minute window is so HB/GB can be sure that nothing is going on, as if the tripwire page isn't updated after 15 minutes it assumes it is safe and nothing has changed.
Is there any way to cheat it? Yes it would be stupid and very unsafe, but what if we like taking risks? Like BeepBeep said, if you set your computer clock forward would that work? Or is there some other way to do it as well?
Setting your computer time forward works. I do it all the time when I know I tripped the safeguard myself.
Hmm, i cant seem to find anything with the search function, it says Nothing matches. Do you happen to have a link off hand?
