Good poll... Maybe this should been a question for the Devs~~ But with my experience with this team if they say you can safely bot on release then you are fine. If they say WARNING DO NOT BOT! and you bot and get banned well.... We all know whos fault it is.
I think it will be safe, but folks will get banned right & left. The bans will not be because of the bot. They will be because folks will get greedy & do risky botting practices. This plus the higher population of folks playing will lead to more reports imho.
maybe the gms will be too busy with the release shit to worry about every report of OMG BOT!!!! so banning will go down?
You allowed multiple choices and there are dudes like Croga who decided to be an ass and voted all of them.
Will the bot be detected? Not likely...will it look like you are botting? Possibly. Given the state of the bot right now, I've been reading that the various bugs make the character look very bottish.
Highly doubtful that the bans will decrease. I'd be surprised if they didn't increase the ban rate. But on the other hand, EVERYONE with gathering professions/skinning will farming since they'll get loaded on gold of the new mats. I don't think the bot will be up and running in release anyway. Will probably be down for some maintenance or something I won't be botting MoP though, so it doesn't really bother me.
a better question would be, does blizzard have a history of banning account right before/after an expansion.. do they wait until the expansion hits to ban alot of botters? I wasnt botting until mid cata
I wouldn't bot right away. Launch night is gonna be a fuck fest and if you plan on leveling a panda that area will be crowded. If you plan on leveling 85-90 youlll probably get ganked a bunch.
too crowded to bot right away. player reports are bound to happen if the bot ever messes up. just wait a week or so to bot I would say.
Why? It will be a flying start, the "patch" is already applied, so there should only be a "switch" to press for Blizz and a Quest pops up, thats it. I think/hope there wont be any downtime tbh.
This is what I've been saying and would really like some clarification on it. If the bot can attach to WoW just before Midnight launch, why should be any reason you can't use it while leveling other than the zones not being meshed? I'd only like to use it for CombatBot/Lazyraider while leveling so I can drink more
with all my main and my bot toons, I will be PVPing Alterac Valley until the starting area gets less cluttered. It may be slower... but sure and steady.
In order to do this, there must be actual AV games. If people are leveling in MoP I doubt you will find many BGs. The wait time might be annoying as fuck
No way I'm botting on the launch, gonna take my time to level by hand a Monk and my main to 90. When the bot is fully functional, I'll put it to work.
I think everyone has said it easily enough, don't be stupid and greedy. Bot as a human would play. The idea of using combat bot for rotations and manually running around questing is really appealing to me because I imagine about 10 hours into the quest grind I'm gonna be pretty sick of dotting mobs lol. Just don't be an idiot and select a beta questing profile and go afk for 5 hours. Common sense people! Oh and I'm gonna throw this out there, try actually playing the game before you bot it. You just might like it.
