There is no virus in HB.

There is a file that downloads updates or other files (not sure which one) that are needed for Honorbuddy. but that file that downloads it is almost use the same download method as a virus would so the virus scanner says that it is a Trojan (which is not a Trojan in this case)

Go to Home Page - Buddy Auth Portal and make a account with the same email you bought HB with. then go to the tab sessions and kill you session

can u see authenticator? should be no problem if you get it.. since you do not need to add the auth number each time you log in.. if using the same pc then you can secure your wow account and still run HB and use te so called trojan updater It is safe no virus in HB

I really trust that HB is a Virus / Trojan free Application and I also trust the Team but the Team should look into this case.

I also know that HB has a download method for updates and so on and it could be detected as an Trojan or whatever AV's detect it, BUT just after downloading the 6296 rev. my GData warns me and i'm thinking okay it's HB it's a false warning since I've used it before.
As I logged this afternoon on my toon account which is in the same guild as the hacked one, I just saw "my-other-accounts-nick" just logged off. I logged on the hacked one and my weapon, wrists, mats and gold was missing.

Isn't it somehow suspicious ? PC only used for botting.

edit: silb please stay in your thread! it's another problem here

When I downloaded that version I didn't got a warning of the GData so it must been something else

I think it's just a coincidence. that you updated the bot but at the same time you got hacked.

It is merely coincidence, I'm sure.
The buddy team would never put anything malicious into their code.

I know the security here is very good, so doubtful that anyone could have broken in.

Anyways, I feel for your account, and hope it doesn't bring your day down too much.

You are all quite ignorant if you think it's a virus. It may look like a virus to many anti-virus programs, but it is not. It uses some of the same methods to attach to wow, which can cause suspicion. You should learn about something before you complain or think you know anything. If you still believe it is a virus, leave the forums, ask for a refund, and let all the other buddies continue with the program.

Nothing is wrong. Honorbuddy might show up as containing a virus or something but it really doesn't. It sort of does, but only uses it to attach to wow and not be detected.

Now now, no reason to get all outta hand. We got this handled.

Damn... you guys are on to us... our master plan of obtaining thousands of botting accounts to bot cinderbloom has been exposed!

Seriously though folks, some AV's tend to pick up on our products as being a virus. It's unfortunate, but in a technical sense, true. We will never do anything malicious in our code. The way our products work, can be classified as a virus (in a very *very* loose term), and some of the stuff we do is what some viruses do as well.

So again, it's a false positive. Feel free to send our exe's and DLL's to the AV company for them to manually flag them as safe. We have nothing to hide!
