i dont get it why people make threads wil it be safe evry new expension it has been always safe its how long you farm bot thats what you get banned if you do it to long.
"Be careful" That's about all the advice I can personally give. There will (hopefully) be zero issues as far as detection-based bans (from Warden), but as with any xpac, the game will be flooded with more players than usual, so chances are higher that if you're doing something over and over in the same way, someone will take notice. So, again, be careful. Your only issues will be other players watching you.
Ah, I miss read the title. I thought you asked if you had a higher chance to get banned because of the amount of people on release. Yea, I won't bot at lvl 85-90 until this have toned down. But I don't think there will be a problem with the actual bot. So my vote was put wrong.
GM's will not be busy with ''release shit''. Gamemasters are paid to observe and help in-game. There are other employees who are taking care of the ''release shit''. And if you are on the top levels if your server they will be watching you like a hawk. I really don't know, at release I really think it's fine. There will be tons of people everywhere, no way GMs can spot bots easily, while having eyes at everybody.
The bot will be safe from detection, but the problem you may face is Player Reports. I'm most likely gunna be botting right away but baby sitting computer while its running so i can respond if needed.
I would wait just to be on the safe side - by then there will also be a few more HB patches and maybe it will work alot better in the upcomming patches.
Ill leave my farmers in higher lvl zones where less likely those monk/panda lvlers unless they are raf and monitor most of the time. Quest i wont if bot does something weird and there for sure will be lot ppl around.
As mentioned before. Waiting a week or two with bot leveling would be smart. Then people will be done leveling to 90, and the zones will be far less populated, and it's safer to bot, especially if the bot is still in a "beta" state at that time (we hope not). The safest thing would be to completely wait untill a full release of honorbuddy comes out (a non-beta version).
I'll be using the bot for combat, I'll be manually questing, but because I've got no idea on how to play Rogue
If there is still no patch, HB should still be able to connect to WoW, so would combatbot at least work?
There will likely be a small patch, so the Devs will have to go in and modify HB for the new offsets and such, but it won't be down for a huge amount of time. I'd say 24 hours or less, probably a lot sooner because I know the Devs want to dive into MoP on their Main accounts as well, and can't until the bot is up and running
I'll be botting when it comes out. I defiantly won't leave it unmonitored for more than 15 minutes at a time though.
