      Be more informative.

If you posted information as you made updates, perhaps on a daily basis in single thread, you would avoid 99% of the wasted time on thread moderation.

I'm just curious why you can't take the 5 seconds to create/update a thread. if you are so devoted to your product as you say you are, then give people some confidence.

Its like people are pulling teeth to get information.

I personally have not been using the bot, and i figured i would just wait until it was fixed. The lack of information however has given me doubt over the last week or 2 that this will ever happen, and i think a lot of people feel that way, hence the threads.

Not only should you be posting updates, but is should be easily accessible. Why don't you have a "Status" section for Bot updates and progress?

Am i the only one who thinks this stuff is common sense?

I think that is a bit drastic. it "Sounds" like they intend to restore HB to what it was, i think we all just need to hear it.

well a couple of days ago i made a thread on this forum about this matter, that there should be a post where people can see things getting updated, but the only response from a devs i got was from tony and i qoute: "I dont see the point in this thread" but you are abselutly right they could avoid alot of this if there was a post where you could follow the progress of the updates

Any potential new customers to read the HB forums right now would quickly change their minds.

I think a lot more could be done to reassure us that these issues are being worked on, and that devs actually care about the quality of this product.

so, let me get this right, you want us (by us i mean the developers) spending all their time on the forums giving you a play by play of what they are doing, RATHER then spending that time Actually coding and fixing the issues you want them to fix?

I have been posting every single day updates and trying to help out as many posts I can. There is only so much I can post without sacrificing time spent on the core itself. There are so many people that post that its almost impossible for me to get to most of them. But I do agree that sometimes it is hard to get a visible clear update. But there has been tons of updates every single day.

this is not ment in a bad way, just dont know how to explain it other way, ofcause we want you to get everything up and running and i think everyone on this forum have respect for whatt you are doing, but on the other hand you can use ALOT of time on answering threads like this and closing threads, instead of making 1 thread a sticky called "Honorbuddy currents status" where you can make it look like this exsample:

      Archeology:

Bot is 90% up running Apoc is looking in to the last know issues

      BGbot:

      BGbot is currently 100% working

this is just an exsample, and to be hornest you could avoid alot of theese kids "bla bla bla bla when is this op" "tony now this isnt working DO SOMETHING" bla bla bla. If you just would take the 15min it takes to make the post, and the 5min it takes to update it, no one says you should update it everytime you push a new build out, you can easlie just update it at the end of the day.

thats also good, but why should it be 4 diffrent post? make a sticky on the root of honorbuddy forum so EVERYONE can see it, so it wont be "missed seen" because the only update thread ive seen its the one Kick made http://www.thebuddyforum.com/releases/68424-bot-updates-2.html

I think that the 10 seconds it takes to type a note-form summary of each issue being worked on would 10 seconds well spent. That is not a great amount of time to invest in reassuring the customers.

      Just my $.02

Let me get this straight. You intend to keep customers by keeping them in the dark. Clearly you have enough time to come on here and post in my thread?

Or perhaps you dont care. perhaps this will be the last bot you make and in which case you will just make responses like the one above that contribute nothing. If thats the case, just tell us. I for one would buy another bot from you guys if i knew you cared. which is it?

You guys make money from this. probobly lots of. dont give me this crap about "were spending all our time coding"

still time and energy better spent doing what we pay the dev's to do. to write code, and fix issues.

thanks for replying. i appreciate it. to be frank, a person should not have to browse 4+ threads, with god knows what for titles to find out you guys care about the product.

Not to mention that some of the most meaningfull posts from mods/Devs are in threads that are closed and not stickied.

But you also forget that the members here have payed for the bot, at we should be able to get some general infomation about the status of the bot, i dont have a problem waiting for the bot to be fully operational, but what is being asked for here is general infomation about the status of the bot

What about letting natfoth capture the Thread of Kick, which is a sticky, and has an appropriate name and let him post his updates there?

And keep calm, because there is nothing to rage...

Last post. cause i dont want you getting the impression i'm causing problems.

If you had a sticky in a prominent place that read "The bot will be ready when its ready. if your not contributing to fixing the bot, then go away till its fixed" I think ppl would be fine with it. but ppl need to see it from you. and to be honest, they need to be reminded every once in a while.

I didnt come in here and post to cause you trouble. I honestly came in here to try and help.

A single thread stickied that can be seen in releases and honorbuddy forum with daily updates, an overall change log is really the minimum necessary. This would avoid a lot of the stupid questions. The posts within the thread could be individually edited by different members of the staff giving a short explanation of what they changed from the program itself to individual bot bases, and even core plugins.

      Changing the Subject
So what s working right now?
      Gatherbuddy? BgBuddy? ProfessionBuddy? Questing?
Which buddy must i use to level skinning and leatherworking (1-525) or mining and herbing (1-525) in the recent honorbuddy?
