Holy cc repost

Another user posted about holy cc and a moderator closed the thread before we could discuss it, the suggestion was to use CLU.... unfortunately CLU isnt sufficient for Holy spec paladin.

CLU is too slow to respond during combat and often picks the wrong spells.... there was a very very good CC for holy spec before the ptach but I cannot recall its name and it just needs updating... I need to learn how to update these things ofr myself

 

For example CLU ...

Casts holy radiance when one player is at 60% health... only one player, but when the group is at 50% it doesnt cast it at all
It doesnt use Judgement for selfless healer
It doesnt use cooldows although I would argue I would want to do this myself
It doesnt help with interupts, not an issue but singluar does

 

as far as i know you can write your own "Rotation" for CLU. its very simple.

although, i prefer more "simple" ccs overall. you cant change that much in CLU, except for the rotation, which you can replace completely.

 

Yeah singular and CLU are very unhappy for a holy paladin

 

I must spend some time writting a CC..... any one with experience throw me some pointerS?

You are right, holy cow was good, somebody in the priest forum has updated it for that class but not the others.... i might have a look

 

Actually the best oen was UltimatePala healer... the code looks nasty though so no idea what to update

 

I agree it was Ama's Holy Cow, the best healer CC for healers in PVE/RAID i ever used
If that one could come back....

 

Tuanha will be doing his CC again soon, according to what he said on Skype anyway and it will support PVE and PVP.

 

well ama is working with Wulf now and you can not blame the cc when the bot is the cause of the slowness.

Yes, Ive been working with Wulf. CLU has a lot to offer that NoobRage couldnt b/c NoobRage was intended to be bare bones. I'm working on Mistweaver right now and its mostly done. If anyone is interested in working on Healing CCs, JRC04444 has the NoobRage core all up to date. So the rotations are the only part that need tweeking. I think he has actually done the Paladin part already.

 

Ama....that would be awesome... there is a clearly big demand for a good Holy pala cc.. any help people need im more than willing

Ama, I am new to the CC coding side but I have an idea, are you suggesting opening holycow and taking a look at why its not currently working?
To be honest I wouldnt know where to start looking, is there a debug mode for HB... that I can step through the coding and working it out?

 

Did you try the one that was updated in the All-in-one section?

Anyone interested in coding should refer to some of the tutorials on the boards. Dagradt has some video tutorials out. For the NoobRage CCs, all the rotations are kept in the Classes folder.
