yajinni, Based upon the errors messages it appears things are installed in the correct location. If you have verified that all files shown in the INSTALL.TXT appear in the folder then the ShamWOW installation is correct and you are encountering an extreme version of the HonorBuddy Assembly Loader issue. Only other thing I can suggest is rebooting your computer to ensure memory is cleared out and reset, delete the CompiledAssemblies folder (not just the contents, but to be safe delete the folder as well -- HB will recreate it.) If you still get the problem it will take a fix in HonorBuddy for you to proceed. The issue has been reported but it will always help to have a user posting HonorBuddy issues (as this isn't specific to ShamWOW) in the HonorBuddy Support Issues thread. HeinBlod, If I understand, you are having problems selecting ShamWOW because it is not appearing in the list allowing you to select it while you have Singular installed. I have looked at the log files and here is what I see based upon use of an online German to English translate:

480 2012-09-30 10.16.txt - not enough info. appears HonorBuddy didn't authenticate at startup

4108 2012-09-30 10.14.txt - selection of Combat Routine timed out/expired (no user selection was made.)

4424 2012-09-30 14.31.txt - this is the HonorBuddy Assembly Loader bug. See this post [CLICK HERE] to workaround. It does not happen everytime, so you can closing HonorBuddy and restarting multiple times until it works or follow the steps in the post I linked.

5160 2012-09-30 14.15.txt - looks like the same HonorBuddy authentication issue you had in first log.

My apologies for the issue, but the issue is within HonorBuddy so all that can be done is to post about your error in the HonorBuddy Support Issues forum and attempt to work around the issue until it is fixed.

Doomertr, It's not casting Lightning Bolt on 5 stacks of Maelstrom Weapon because of how you are configured:

If you want it to use Lightning Bolt instead of conserving Maelstrom stacks for healing you'll need to change your config. See the Grinding and/or PVP tabs respectively in CC Config. (Note to All ShamWOW Users: being able to view your config settings is why I request a Log file for all issues and requests for help. Otherwise this issue appears to be an error rather than a user choice.)

ShamWOW by default favors increased survivability. The only time with the above settings that it would cast a Lightning Bolt is if it detected your Maelstrom stack will expire in less than 5 seconds. Since in melee combat it is continually getting renewed, that situation occurs in Grinding and PVP situations where a fight ends with a full stack and another begins after a period of rest. Rather than allowing it to fall off it will cast the Lightning Bolt at range while closing rather than risk it expiring.

Also note, the above situation does not occur 'anywhere' as it will always use Malestrom Weapon procs for DPS in Dungeons/Raids.

And
Ascendance - Spell - World of Warcraft
when popping other cooldowns or when facing x+ mobs.

What should have happened (be specific):
It should have engaged combat and used the normal spells - Stormstrike, lava lash, unleash elements.
What did happen (be specific):
Stood and took a beating from 2 mobs. Popped cooldowns correctly - stone elemental/heroism/Feral Spirit but didn't start autoattacking/engaging combat. It cast a shock once every 6-7 seconds but did neither use stormstrike nor lava lash.

Don't know if this is of any use, but it seems that it sometimes forgets to engage combat. It casts the shocks but doesn't start auto attacking before stormstrike has been cast.

 

I found the issue ShamWOW wasnt playing nice with CLU or vice versa.

I discovered this by doing a fresh install - Installing ShamWoW and running GB.
GB was bugged so I decided to install CLU to run another toon
ShamWoW ran into the same error. So now I have 2 installs 1 with CLU and one with ShamWoW

 

XenonElite, Thanks for the post! You can .ZIP the logs. Large log files typically compress extremely well (90% - 96% compression is typical.) All options for ShamWOW appear in the Class Config dialog. Thanks for the post and good luck with your Shaman, Bobby53

 

The simple answer is Yes, all new abilities made available in MoP will be added to ShamWOW unless for some compelling reason it makes more sense to leave it under user control. Not all will have a user configuration option added where they fit within the usage of an existing options control. So support for new trinkets, engineering tinkers, end game Shaman abilities, etc. will all be added in due time. Thanks for the posts and keep an eye out for updates over the next week. Bobby53

 

P8ntman, I appreciate you taking the time to post, but there isn't a conflict between CLU and ShamWOW. I installed both in the same installation and had no error. The problem you experienced in your prior report was an authentication error (which just about every HonorBuddy user is encountering today.) Any issue after that I can't be sure of without a log file, but there isn't a conflict between ShamWOW and other Combat Routines. If you were encountering the problem with the HonorBuddy Compiler/Assembly Loader which most users do at some point, you fixed it be creating a clean install which had an empty CompiledAssemblies folder. Just empty that folder prior to starting HonorBuddy each time and you should have no problem. Thanks for the post and good luck with your Shaman, Bobby53

 

Hey Bobby!
First of all, I want to thank you once again for this great CC (now "Combat Routine").
I have found a weird behavior i would like to report, perhaps you can do something about it.
In Shado-Pan Monastery, there's a boss called Taran Zhu. This boss, casts a spell called Haze of Hate. We have a progress bar, and each time the boss attacks, this hatred bar grows. Now, when players reach 100% hatred, the healing done is reduced by 75%. (Which is VERY BAD for a Shaman). Now, there's an ability called "meditate", which you use to shake off the hatred. The problem is that this ability takes some time to be cast, and ShamWoW interrupts it every time with its own casting. (Or some other times, it is casting spells so fast that it doesn't allow me to hit the button...) So... I end up healing with 100% hatred, and thus, OOM very quickly... If i remember correctly, ShamWoW used to allow me to cast special abilities, such as Heroic Will in Ultraxion, but then again, Heroic Will is instant, while meditate is a 3 second channeling spell... So, ShamWoW should allow me to cast this spell and shouldn't interrupt it. Let me know is you need me to provide a log, but this is not an error (so to speak), this is ShamWoW current behavior...

 

hbaioni, Thanks for the excellent description! I would have preferred to have a the log to go with it as described [CLICK HERE] . Most likely, the issue described is because ShamWOW doesn't wait for Channeled Spell casts. Shaman don't have them so I didn't account for it in the casting logic. That however breaks when using a special ability that implements one. I'll add a check to wait for channeled spells and hopefully that resolves your issue.
