Would you normally kill the same monsters in a confined area over and over for hours on end, without questing, doing a dungeon, or doing much of anything besides the aforementioned task? Seems like a bot move. Stick to a mix of gathering/grinding/questing profiles as you can. I'd say you have a high chance of getting banned on a full grind profile 85-90. I think the highest risk comes from grinding in an area where the monsters are quest monsters, and players will see you and report you. Sometimes bots like to move in straight lines, as opposed to most players using WASD or Arrow keys or Left+Right click to move more fluidly. Dead giveaway to me.
Luckily the introduction of Motes of Harmony has made this a lot more likely... I'm leveling a couple of characters on grinding profiles but they are all either mine/herb or skinners (on skinning grinds) so I always have a good story why I was running around in that area for a couple of hours. I always limit my time on those profiles as well; 3 or 4 hours at most. I'm not in a hurry Do realize, though, that the XP per hour is abominable. On high-level you can get up to 2-2.5M per hour which isn't even half of what dungeons/quests would get you. So as said; be patient, don't rush, take it easy. Grinding is still the most risky form of botting but if you don't push it, the chance of a ban isn't that high.
Grinded my main 85-89 3/4 in 1 1/2 days In the damn Rat nest thing in the valley of four winds, no ban no one the wiser (HATE Questing btw, and the questing profiles aren't flawless at this point either). Will be grinding my Dk (Miner, JC) starting next week, let yall know how he comes up. TON's of spirits too
Leveled 85 to 90 in 2 days. No ban, I also seen another person botting. It also depends on your server pop, if its low you should be fine. maybe have like 1-2 people see you a day. My server is medium and I seen like 5-7 different people come into the cave I was grinding in. Again though it depends on how much you value your account.
HAHAHAHA you right.. ill just farm Motes and thats what im te?lling ppl too, my luck is that i can farm the spot with 3 of my toons the atleast allways the name is cahgning of the "botter"... atm farming almost 24/7 with main acc Motes grinding profiles.. i got my lvl 86Mage(to enter the farming area) allready to 88(+another50%) just from farming motes for living steel
