I have been using the bot for like 4 days, but only in the time I would be playing the game. farming something like 2 hours and then, later, more 2 hours. totalling 6 hours per day at max. I only farm mobs for spirit of harmony. not gathering anything. sometimes skinning but rarely. is it too much? so, I was just farming in a spot I discovered where I can kill a lot of mobs without moving, which makes the bot harder to be noted, and then I saw a lot of people flying around, killing mobs next to me. and I thought they were GMs and left, HS to Orgrimmar! I always leave to another place when I see someone coming close to me. I always watch what my bot is doing, I'm always browsing the internet or playing poker, so I don't really miss it for more then a minute at most. so my question is: are they really GMs watching me? after 3 days? is it too much? what if they are GMs? what can I do now? just take some days off botting? thanks for any help!
If i were you i'd back it up to 30mins-1hr of botting a day. Any more than that and Ghost Crawler will probably come to your house man. Nah but seriously, you are being paranoid. If you are this worried about your account man I just wouldn't bot. You don't look like you're made of it hahaha.
Yes, they are GMs watching you. There's 5 GMs watching every suspected botter. Oh... wait... that would mean Blizzard would have THOUSANDS of GMs.... which, really, they don't. So no, they weren't GMs. Bots aren't swatted by GMs watching people play, they are swatted by dataanalysis and reports.
so, if they have data analysis they could easily see that I am suddenly farming 6 hours a day of mobs in the exactly same location lol and then, after the data analysis, they decided to send GMs to see how my toon acts, to confirm if I'm bot or not. not like they have GM's watching everyone, but they could have a small crew of GMs on each server that would be looking for these "data analised" bots.
can someone who knows how this work give me an answer, please? I'm really paranoic about all that thing. thanks!
so that's it for me then. i will take some days off botting and see how it goes... it is really suspicious that suddenly a lot of people is flying around me and killing mobs next to me. its in townlong, next to a elite klaxxi in the SW little land. I think they do klaxxi dailies there? lol i dunno I hope they are only doing daily quests...
What do people buy bots for when they are sitting the whole time at the keyboard watching the character playing? I don't get this. Play by hand then!
Yup, that's it, you got me. Seriously; I give up. If you're that paranoid you should immediately uninstall HB and never visit this site again. If 6 hours of killing/skinning would get you tagged then this entire forum wouldn't exist since everyone here would be banned. If GMs were watching people then WoW wouldn't exist anymore since the cost of hiring all those GMs would be far more than Blizz ever made of this game.
agreed but I do share my key with a friend. who will be there but doing other things and just has the window up. I guess if they are doing nothing but watching the bot makes snese not to bot, I know alot of the ones who watch it... still do other stuff. But I do agree completely
Man theres people with 50-100 accounts botting 24/7. - The chance of you getting banned is low. For reals
I think a lot of people go through a paranoid phase when they get started with botting, but really, if the account(s) you're botting with are something you'd be sad to lose, don't do it on there. Get a second account you don't care about.
I made a new account but I made the payment with my credit card, so I'm afraid they could associate both accounts due to IP address and same Credit Card. Can I get banned on my main account if I get banned on my new account due to this relationship? thanks for all your answers btw.
