      Hello there

Earlier I was having issues with not having a mesh. I figured I would let it chill out for a bit and then come back to it. Im now trying to log into honorbuddy and it keeps failing to authenticate.

      [03:09:17.479 N] Honorbuddy v2.5.6419.500 started.
      [03:09:18.539 N] Logging in...
      [03:10:00.764 N] Authentication failed!
      [03:16:36.845 N] Logging in...
      [03:17:18.853 N] Authentication failed!
      [03:17:23.284 N] Logging in...
      [03:18:05.298 N] Authentication failed!

Anyone able to help me out?

      Thanks

      Sakue

Check and see if the session is running in the portal. Go to the portal (Home Page - Buddy Auth Portal) and kill the session under the "Sessions" tab. Been working for me.

flush your dns and completely restart your machine.
Flush DNS - What's My DNS?

if your getting auth failed double check and make sure your logging in with your key as your username and no password.

I get this sometimes but I just press start/stop until it works, takes like 3-4 times or I just restart Honorbuddy and waiting one min and it works.

this is getting highly annoying... but I've done EVERYTHING above and nothing changed. Still authentication failed. No need to send logs because theres nothing in there, just says what everyone else is here for: Authentication failed

Sorry for double post since i'm new to this forum thingie, but just to clarify everything I've done:

      Flush my dns
      restart my pc
      download latest honorbuddy
spam 3-4 times(i spammed 20 times) and restart honorbuddy and repeat, and still no success
      triplechecked my key
checked buddyauth portal and theres no running instances as I can't even get this to start off
      allowed my program trough firewall

      still doesn't work.

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc, in that folder you'll find a file called "hosts" (no extension). Open it with a text editor. Check online for what the default contents would be

188.165.234.190 Home Page - Buddy Auth Portal
      188.165.234.190 auth2.buddyauth.com
      188.165.234.190 auth3.buddyauth.com

that's what i'm seeing, and I can't find anywhere what the default contents should be, but I assume that's what they should be. So yeah, still not working.

Okay guys I got it fixed, though this was quite a hassle to figure out!!

      Simply go to: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

Then delete the file named "hosts" that has no extensions in it. I simply deleted it and I got it working straight away!

did you try any of the other stuff, or did you just read the last thing and only delete the host file?

Ive done everything suggested in this threat. Flushed my DNS, deleted the file, redownloaded the HB client and tried that, checked buddyauth. Nothing seems off, except it just doesnt work..
