So yeah, i've botted quite alot the last 2 days and now i've got a guy harrasing me up to my ass about me being a botter, ofcourse i'm in denial of being one..

      What he tells me:

''Thanks for killing my mobs etc etc''.. Now how do i manage this? Should i lie low or what? Should i expect a ban?

      help me out

      Erm, what?

He thanks you for killing his mobs... and then what... more info?

Cause atm, i dont see what your scared off.

Also, chances he will do anything, is slim, since it takes a bot to spot a bot.

If he reports you, lights will be shed on his account aswell. He wont do shit, dont be so scared.

If i could have 1 k for everytime someone reported me by wisper, or harrassed me cause of my botting, i would be

      Mr. Ni Hao himself.

Since it's just him vs you, you do nothing. Tell him you will report him for harassment and that should get him to lay off. Blizz get's a million reports of botting per day. They get less reports of harassment and so should look into it. I would change up the area you bot and babysit it if you've been afk. I would even suggest using lazyraider and doing things by hand. It might make it easier on you in the short run.

I would immediately report him and report each piece of mail he sends. There is a little exclamation mark where you can do this on each mail.

Lol @ It takes a bot to spot a bot.

Honorbuddy is easily spotted due to it's navigation when it MUST go around objects(And usually get stuck on them) and not take the shortest route on the ground.

If your actually there and not AFK botting when he msgs you then tell him to screw off..I got this all time at the http://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorbuddy-forum/submitted-profiles/neutral/50637-n-100-afk-1-80-icecrown-raf-new-post.html especially after the cross realm zoning but never seen anything come of it.. Most of the time they are either A) a botter themselves and seeing you respond to see if it is worth waiting or go somewhere else B) someone that doesnt care if you're there as long as your not a botter or C) trying to scam you into giving them money if they think they found a botter. Seriously I can't stand when 1 botter gets made that another botter is in their spot... seriously.. especially with the cross realm zoning.. it is going to happen get over it and use tact and common courtesy when asking how long someone will be and move one i'm sure there is somewhere else or something else to farm.

Unless you do alot of dualboxing then you really don't have an accurate picture of how a toon looks when its botting. Sure you see the glaring obvious fucks ups other bots make, but alot of the small twitching and sharp turns are smoothed out by server and world latency. Unless your legit stuck or doing some retarded pathing things its not usually THAT obvious to non botters.

This quoted comment is quite a misconception of things.

There are many reasons another botter might turn another in. Take into consideration of the full servers, where indeed, there are botters and the competition for things is high. It's easy enough to undercut another on the AH, but the botter that puts 150 stacks of ore, herbs etc is more often than not, a botter (dumb botter, but one none the less) too and this might tick off someone for some reason. But the truth in my experiences in the almost 8 years of playing and botting, is that to say another botter won't do shit is a fallacy.

I've been turned in from and by people I know, who run HB and the same is true when glider was up and running. When I find out who that someone is, then as far as I'm concerned, "Turnaround is fair play" And can you bet, I'll do all I can, to get back at them. So would many here even if they do want to try to come across as if they wouldn't.

And HB is noticed by both botter and non botter players. Make no mistake about it. Don't lie to yourself thinking a non botter won't know what a bot is when they see it. I run multi screens and I can tell you that when my toon that i'm botting on is out and running. there is no doubt that it looks like a bot from time to time. The hope is, that since it doesn't happen all the often when HB is running properly that if it is seen it's not too obvious, but if a person even thinks a toon is botting all they have to do, is follow the toon at a distance and see if it's deviating at all, off a path. if it isn't deviating! It's most likely a bot running and you most likely will be turned in

Blizzard has even made it easy for someone to turn you in for botting. In that! All you have to do, is right click on the toons name, scroll down the drop down menu and simply click the link that lists: "Report Player for: either Name or Cheating. All they have to type is possible botter and your account will be flagged to investigate.

If you think you've been reported. Just lay low for awhile if you are concerned that your account might be banned. If you're not that concerned. BOT AWAY!

i think it's funny when i bot because i see other people doing the exact same thing my bot makes me do. It's hilarious when your farming herbs and you get there a split second before someone else and they sit there a for a few seconds while the bot goes umm WTF NO NODE then flies off in the same direction your bot does.

Ignore the guy, start botting on another char for a week, then it's all back to normal. That's what I do if I get too many whispers in a couple of days.

it is actually rather easy to spot a bot.. before I started botting I found little things certain people would do that would give em away.. after I started botting it just made it that much easier to spot a bot and be completely sure about it rather than it just being an assumption
