Since the policy is still that windows 8 is not supported, I would like to give a tip for those who can't find it elsewhere.

Honorbuddy can be used in windows 8, by enabling DX11 in WoW, at least that worked for me in Windows 8 Pro 64-bit (wow should still be 32-bit of course).

Hope it can help others who might be stuck in Windows 8!

Sure win8 is supported, why do you think does it work with dx11?!

It's no workaround, it is the official and supported way to use it.

The last I heard was that the developers wouldn't support any problems regarding Windows 8. So I thought this might be able to help some.

There's no issues with Windows 8 for me. I have used both Windows 7 Pro and Windows 8 Pro while using WOW and Honorbuddy.

This is how I got many legacy programs to run including games. Still using Windows 7, but worth a try.

read though the setup guide, under step 2 of the requirements portion, there are 2 frameworks you need to install and download. once you get that done, then restart, and you should be able to run honorbuddy.

The biggest issue with Windows 8 is that is is crap and should not be used by anyone, and those who do use it are well...

Comments like that are not helpful in any way. Unless you are actually able to provide supportive commentaries, pls don't waste the space in this thread.

Windows 8 is by far the best OS today. I am sat behind a W8 machine and haven't had 1 problem. In most cases the errors reported regarding to W8 are fail 40's....
