      for example

would a perfectly scripted CC be able to out preform a human behind the wheels

one that would take into account trinket proccs etc to maximize dps efficiancy

and if so how hard is such a script to make

Depends on the rotation needed and how fixed you want the talent / trinket setup to be and lastly encounter complexity.
But in general its pretty easy :)

No. I worked up all the classes for FTW with my son's expert help, and in every case, he played better than the bot. The bot has no situational awareness, or even navigational smartness - it will continually bonk it's head against the corner of that building for quite some time before giving up and going elsewhere. It doesn't recognize that you should 'avoid' this group, or know that a particular NPC in a group should be avoided (Azshara, Millhouse), and concentrate on the casters. It doesn't even recognize when pets of party members are under attack - only your pet.

Finally - it can't 'get out of the fire.' It will stand in Mannoroth's fel flames until it dies. My son calls this 'zero effective dps.' We saw it a lot in guild raids with older men - they had great DPS while they were alive, but they just couldn't hit that 'Hour of Twilight' button to save their life. When you're dead, how much DPS do you get? I felt better about my lackluster skills after that - at least I am young enough to notice when flames are licking at my feet.

That's not to say the bots aren't good! It plays better than I do, for instance, but I never was that good of a WoW player. But bots will always compare poorly against expert young people who are seriously into it.

Yes, but this thread isn't about a bot performing a raid better, it's about a bot doing dps better on something like a target dummy, or in a raid with a player controlling the bot. This is easily possible as a bot can send attacks much faster than even the fastest human.

At a point I think they would be equal. If a expert player has all their keys properly bound and is using everything the second it's off cooldown while effectively using proper rotation then it should be the same as the bot if there was such a perfectly scripted routine. To optimize a routine for a target dummy isn't a priority though.

Yeah, I will grant that the bot can execute the rotation more perfectly than most humans. It's all the other factors that make it lackluster compared to expert players.
