i don't even have a facebook account.So i doubt this change if made would bother me.

 

Possibly the worst idea I've heard in a long time. This will in fact alienate a large percentage of users - and deter many legit users from contributing useful comments and information on the forums.

What is next? Real name for the toons in-game as well? Toon1 = RealnameWarlock1, Toon2 = RealnameWarrior2 ? I wouldn't put it past them.

I was already weary of purchasing SC2 because of the Real ID crap they put in the game, but if they're pushing to include it in everything, they're going to lose a lot of legit business.

 

I actually think its great. I actually avoid the real forums due to all the spam and flaming. Now people might think twice about tossing threads in the crapper for no reason. Their is such a vast amount of resources there, this will hopefully filter it so that there is more of that and less level 1 garbage.

 

People are gonna get pissed at each other on the forums and try to find one another in real life.

 

Quite possibly one of the dumbest moves made by Blizzard yet.

 

Maybe they would think more before they post?

 

I'll just make a new Battle.net account, with a fake name, for when I buy SC2.

I don't care enough about WoW to post on the forums.

 

What makes you believe that people with something useful to say will post now? They might think twice also.

 

I like this idea, no more idiots spamming/trolling and fucking up eatch other. Thats a really good change

They won't get past privacy advocates. Just wait. If they won't give customers a choice of doing this... they will lose a MAJOR customer base and also inherit a bad image as they are exposing people to being stalked, threat of harm, etc... all due to some neat new feature some DUMBASS in the main office allowed to happen. And the green text in words is that dumbass talking.

I will quit WoW if they do this. Period. Goodbye 7 accounts of my business.

 

I just realized, I use fake names everywhere anyway.

 

How will this stop flamer and spammers again? Does that blue text hurt anyone elses eyeballs?
