Also i want to note that i'm using 3570k + 8gb ram as well. only d3 clients in vmwares crash, not on my main os
Im constantly running out of memory within win7 which results in the os closing d3. Everything runs smoothly though. Every VM has 4GB of mem allocated. Any tips?
I'm sorry if its answered before but i haven't got time to read all the pages. Is it possible to make each VMclone a different window so i can access them each time with alt tab ? Or even be able to supervise them all together from 1 screen
Performance issue. I did set up wmvare with win7 from 1 post iso but i have installed D3 on it. My idea is to run bot on wmvare while i play on my main account on pc. But the performance of both versions even with minimum settings low resolutions windowed is crap. My machine: Amd Phenom x4 970 3,5ghz 4GB ram GF GTX 460 I tried with rising priority, it helped but still is rather not playable. What else can i do to improve performance? Some D3 config tweeks? I'm afraid that the biggest problem is HDD.
Hey was wondering if anyone could send me a message and help me with some troubleshooting, I've hit somewhat of a brick wall. I've followed the guide, setup my first VM and installed the recommended Win7 iso and made the .bat file for Diablo 3. I've even gotten up to the point where I can load D3 through cmd.exe (with "C:\Dialbo III\Diablo III.exe" -launch) but that's as far as I get before the brick wall gets hit. Diablo starts to load up and i've gotten to the point of the login screen (so I can alter my D3 Prefs file to make it horribly low) but it takes forever, I haven't even gotten a character loaded IN to a game, just to the character select screen. Has anyone else had this issue and gotten past it? Or do they know what might be causing it? If so please just send me a message (as I most likely might have a few other questions and don't want to clutter up the thread), I could really use some help. My Current specs are : AMD Phenom II x6 1090T, 3.2ghz 12GB DDR3 1600hz ram EVGA Nvidia GTX 470. 120gb SSD 1tb HDD (as things are now, i'm just had to make 3 seperate 20gb VM's on the SSD, but i'd prefer to get this figured out if anyone can lend me a hand because i'd eventually like to get more bots running in the near future) Thanks again. P.S. I've also already tried raising the priority of D3 and running Gamebooster 3.5 on the VM I made based off the guide, but still no luck
Anyone get this working on Win server 2008? I seem to be having share issues. Can't find the diablo III.exe to launch. tried many times
Hello fellas, long time user and reader and donater (sp?), first time poster. i'm sitting at the moment with a: I7-3770 3.4gbz 16gb 1600mhz ssd 128 samsung GTX 670 2gb I've been following the guide and i can't for the life of me get 10 accounts to work, after 7 accounts my processor is at 100% without DB, with db it's 100% with 6 accounts. but then i lag so much i loose 200gph, so 5 is optimal as far as my settings atm. But i have from reliable sources heard that my system should be able to handle atleast 9 accounts with db and yet be around 85-95% cpu, so either a) i've messed up something in vmware or b) something is seriously screwed up, if anyone have any hints or pointers or can tell me if isboxer is the better way to go and if so why, and if any of the pointers pont me in the right direction, i will happily send you a donation worthy of the help, since atm i'm not doing as well as i could have. Appreciate any help or advice. Thank you for your time.
fixed my issue just had to lower the memory. Another thing i noticed i cannot run the vm on one core alone with a phenom II 955BE, but using more then one works like a charm. though 2 vms + d3+db on the host is maxing out the cpu
Hey, I took another shot at getting this set up and I ran into the same problem, I can get D3 to launch after running the .bat file and using cmd.exe , however it still loads so slow that it won't even run, I mean it's a good few minutes to get to the Login Screen. I was curious about one part of the guide that maybe someone can help me out with. "You're OK to Run Diablo 3 via vmware-network which is equal to your HDD/SSD read/write speed at VM is on the same hardware as host PC." I've tried doing some searching (when i've had the time, been abit busy as of late) I can't be certain by what he means by "vmware-network" is that something specific that I have to install on my VMWare (like VMware Tools)? Or does he just mean to set each VM I make to a certain Network Adapter type? (Like VMNet01, or Bridged, etc) My specs are: AMD Phenom II x6 1090T, 3.2ghz 12GB DDR3 1600hz ram EVGA Nvidia GTX 470. 120gb SSD 1tb HDD My OS, D3, VMware and a few other necessary things are the only things installed on my SSD, so I can't figure out why it would take so long to load up just one linked copy of D3. I mean I assume it's linked somewhat correctly (otherwise it wouldn't even load D3 at all) but I can't figure out why it's taking so long and in the end is unplayable. Even with the VM given 3ghz of Ram, 1 processor and 2 cores it's just not wanting to work Any help that would get this fixed up or even point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated! (Hell if things get running smoothly it might even be worth a donation or an In-game item if you've got a bot that could use a lil' upgrade )
I use vmware workstation9 and a 8 core cpu. I can not run more than 4 bots in virtual machine because the cpu is getting to 100%. What am i doing wrong?
Thanks for the guide! note: I will be running 5 instances (including host) of Diablo 3 on windows 7 (I have the tweaked version in the 1st post) using VMware Workstation 9. Few questions: 1- why do I need to do step 7 (7) In VMware guest make a bat file with the following? I'd like to avoid it cause I don't know how to enter the batch file 2- will the "guest" PC's created by VMware workstation keep me safe from blizzard? 3- I install all copies of Diablo on my host then access and run it through the guest PC's via clicking on the "z file" that I create by sharing folder access? 4- I have yet to purchase/install my 2nd copy of Diablo 3 for my 2nd bot. How should I install/run this 2nd copy of Diablo without being detected by blizzard?
You might not be getting the most performance because you have non-overclock version of the 3770. I have a i7 2600k overclocked to 4.4ghz and I'm able to handle 8-9 VMs. It is a little strange though that you are at 100% cpu usage without DB going as DB is what uses all the cpu. Are all of your d3s on the lowest settings possible? Do you have the fps limiters on to cap fps at like 20 fps for example?
can i change the settings of D3 somewhere else except the game ? atm everything in the game is turned off aswell as running 800x600 allthough i have background/foreground fps turned down and set to 0, do i need to turn them on and set 20 fps ? I guess i can overclock it myself and just add a better fan.
if you connect your guest vm`s to different open vрn servers in different countries - chances to recieve ban is reduced.
In game check the boxes for max foreground and background fps and set both sliders to 15 or 20. Join/start a game and press Ctrl + R to bring up diablo 3's fps counter(should show in bottom right corner) to see and make sure the fps is being capped. Also I don't know how well you can overclock a non k version if you even can.
Thank you for your post man great info tbh. Too bad I am running win 8 and my ssds only 60gb. I cant really change the directory where I install my appstore apps from ms. So I would have to pass on this and install it on my regular HDD instead.
Can someone tell me if there is any difference between the code above or just: mklink /D "C:\Diablo III\" "Z:\Diablo III\"
for some reason my diablo 3 loads really slow but plays fine, but demonbuddy slows down where the bot isnt doing much the ticks on demonbuddy drop down to 2-3ish i set my diablo 3 process to above normal priority ... anyone experience this?
