[REP] Ancient Gui-Lai Key for Golden Lotus - Vale of Eternal Blossoms

Hello,

I made this profile with Zaprecorder. It just simply grinds on Shao-tien Fist and Shao-Tien Antiquator mobs. However it does this away from the daily quest spots in a relatively uncrowded area called The Five Sisters.

The item we're after is Ancient Gui-Lai Key.

These open chests at the Guo-lai Halls which grant Golden Lotus rep as well as gold and Lesser Charms. The mobs also drop cloth, motes and a lot of green items.

This profile has a mailbox but not a vendor as I typically use my mount.

Edit - Just to point out, you will of course have to do the Vale of Eternal Blossom pre-quests to enable you to actually see mobs in the zone.

Works good, keys are pretty rare though... there is a rare spawn there that could cause some hiccups though.

 

Ok so its an awesome profile. If you can add a vendor it will be 1000 times better. Only runs for a few hours then bags are full. I got 7 keys and 3 rare loots. Good work

when i start it it wants to go to someone called Cousin slowhands .. no idea why

 

They keys are kind of a waste of time imo, i've only ever been able to find 2 caches to use them on in a day sometimes 1, you have to kill your self outside the entrance door to the Guo-Lai Vault, navigate your way through to the end for a golden chest, i did it twice and then on the third time there was no cache even after camping it.

I proceded to try it on another character thinking the vault was phased per player, to my amazement there was my hunter at the end waiting near the cache spawn, so not even my alt could get a cache, the spawn rate on the golden chests are a joke and the rep given is too low to bother, dailies are quicker, granted it probably is ok if you have like 200 rep to go to exalted or something.

 

I've never had an issue using keys. Dailies are daily so once a day... Also you can get close to ~500 rep on a good chest.

Oh don't get me wrong, this profile is great!
Just saying in regards to reputation bliz should have provided more from the caches at a consistent rate, considering how rare the drops are for these keys.

 

Do you need to have done quests , cause I am not seeing any mobs...

 

Hi awesome profile but im having a an issue were he gets stuck in the tents and i come back to find myself disconnected , is there a way around this or a certain place to start the profile to avoid this, thanks

Yeah you will need to have done the pre-quests to allow you to be zoned into the entire zone. I wrote that in the first post.

Not sure about that mate, none of the hotspots go very near the huts.

 

Is it possible to change the route a little by the tents with the elite mob.?

Or can i just decrease the pull dist?

 

Possibly changing pull distance might help, or get your CC to pull with a ranged attack. I usually do this on my warlock so I guess that's why I've had no trouble.

 

I used this profile to lvl from 89 to 90 and it worked awesome, I did the first quest line to open the gate at lvl 89 and started it, there is only one spot with mobs I was not phased out of but it was good enuf, I lvled from 89 - 90 in less than 10 hours time and by the time I was 90 I had 14 keys, 2 skyshards. a 478 epic shield I sold for 20k, 19 spirits of harmony and to many greens to count that vendored nicely. All in All, Awesome profile. is 100% AFKable if your brave enuf.

 

There are ALWAYS 3 chests up in the halls. If you open one another will spawn instantly so there are always 3 up. Your rep is probably just too low to acess furthur parts of the halls. If you die at the closed doors you can res on the other side to get futhur through the halls if needed.

your and idiot and need to learn to research... the cache spawns are all linked... when one is opened, another pops in one of the other spawn locations.....
