Code says it's correct. Mind sending me the actual profile so I can make sure it's not just you misreading?
No, you're right! i mis-read it! Sorry apoc! But any ideas why i keep getting "This profile does not contain any profiles fitting the character!"? I'm running the profile i made on a lvl 65 character and i have a sub profile which has minlevel =64 and max level = 68? Thanks
Hmmm, has anyone else managed to get a working profile using this tool? I'm curious as to if it's just something i'm not doing right or if its a problem with the program.. ( im fair sure its just me but...)
I have a problem opening some of the profiles i made in notepad (which is probably the problem); I keep getting invalid profile, is there anyway to enable a debug log to find where the problem is? It could also be that the profile has quest over rides, but im not too sure. I noticed you posted about not being a lenient with profiles, although im honestly a bit of a novice with this kind of error.
Yeah you're pretty much gonna have to re-make them (which shouldn't take long with this tool) i'm pretty sure it's because this tool requires each profile and subprofile wot contain the proper XML tags (alot of people skip certain tags) but please post here if you manage to make a working profile with this tool! ***************EDIT*************** What are you guys entering in the fections field? I'm entering the ID i get from wowhead.... is this the right thing to do? (eg boglord = http://www.wowhead.com/npc=18127 so i enter "18127" into factions)
No, that's the ID of the npc itself, not the faction >.< Get it using the "Target info" button from HB
<Vendor Name="Bloodmaul Dire Wolf" Entry="20058" Type="Repair" X="1802.167" Y="6479.867" Z="1.343891" /> which part of this is the faction? 1802? or 167?
Neither are the faction. X/Y/Z are the coordinates of the vendor. And for whatever reason, you have a killable mob as a vendor.
is there a way to add the factions of the mobs in an area without manually doing it while logged into wow? like through this program? great program so far for the venders and hotspots =D
Not sure if this is a setting somewhere on my PC, but when I try to save the profile I get this And this is with the most current version I saw in the post, just downloaded it. If needed info, I am using Windows 7 64 bit
Another issue I am seeing I tried to install this on one of my other pc's at work and get this error when I try to open it I have .net 4 which is same as I have on other windows 7 machine that it opens on and installed the other one I get that error, then the program opens, but cant expand any menu options for continents or anything. It should give you more information than that. It should look like this: Information about Giant Yeti: Name = Giant Yeti Wowhead Id = 2251 Faction = 16 Location = <553.714, -88.4547, 146.0001> <Vendor Name="Giant Yeti" Entry="2251" Type="Repair" X="553.714" Y="-88.4547" Z="146.0001" />
Hi Apoc, Did this break with 1.9.5.0? Or is it just user error? I'm still pretty new at creating profiles, so i'm not sure if there are certain required fields that i'm omitting from the profile. I tried creating a very simple, fresh profile last night, but HB won't load it. I have Level 1-60 in the main profile - are SubProfiles required? Level 23 Tauran Shaman in Barrens: Code: Loading C:\Users\bowenr\Downloads\hb 1.9.5.0\Profiles\Test3.xml. This profile does not contain any profiles fitting the character! Profile attached.
Sort of both. HB currently can't use the 'root' profile element as a usable profile to grind with. You need to make it as a subprofile.
Hi Apoc, Thanks for the last reply. You're right, it only supports hotspots in subprofiles and not the top level profile. As others have mentioned, it does look like the tool mixes up MinLeval and MaxLevel only on the top level profile, and also switches TargetMinLevel and TargetMaxLevel in subprofiles. You mentioned earlier in the thread that you have another tool that parses the X's and Y's and finds the Z's - since you can't package it, can you at least hint at a name so perhaps us DIYers can find it and try it? HB currently spits this out with Z="findhighest" Code: [2:48:24 PM:811] Value "findhighest" in "Z" attribute is not supported! Expected floating type. - From: Honorbuddy [2:48:24 PM:934] Attribute Z of floating type was missing in "Hotspot" tag. - From: Honorbuddy
