Awesome! I'm planning to do something like this once I get water cooling for my PC. It simply can't stand the heat here and hasn't got enough air cooling for the monster it is.
Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 945 3.01Ghz RAM: 4 GB System: 64Bit Windows 7 I can tell you this: One one of the important things is the ram. If you want to run 12 wows + gb you need 4GB. Windows tell me that the usage of the ram is almost 100%. Another importan thing is your graphic card. I have a Geforce GTX 260 with 896MB. The amount of video ram is important but more important is the speed of the ram. DDR2 is ok but DDR3 is better do not spend too much on the CPU. It is better to buy a really good video card.
This is incorrect. Because of WoW's old engine, you get more from CPU power than you do graphics power. DDR3 RAM and an i7 will do wonders for anyone multibotting WoW. Ofcourse a better gpu helps aswel.
perhaps 20... but think about the management of 20accs.. it need a "some" time... and think about what it is the case if your hardware is broken. You pay for the abo and you cannot use the accounts... too many accounts on one machine is not so good.. i think 12 is the optimized amount..
my record were 5 Wow under a XP 64 Bit version with a Amd Phenom 9550 and 4 Gig RAM. CPU was at 40% and Use of RAM and PAGFILE were around 2 Gig With these CPUs and 64 Bit OS its not really a Problem to get 12 running. I would rather look how much Power the Machine is sucking..
I believe he's stating that simply do not spend alot on getting a high end processor when you could get an average processor and put money into the other areas that will give a better performance (for a more economical price). Windows machiens, the part move over look, is that the better the secondary equipment (ram, gpu/memory) the farther standard CPU's will go. People spend alot on the Processor but stick to standard GPU and memory. Big mistake
I just ordered a AMD Phenom x6 1090T with 8gb ddr3 1600 ram and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 - 1GB graphic card. I am wondering how many accounts I can run with this badboy Any guesses?
i have a intel pentium d 3.4ghz with 6gb ram and nvidia 9600gt graphics and are only able to run 5 wows at a time is this about right?? my processor is arount 89% and ram is up to 70% seems abit high to me as i had a amd 20ghz single core and was able to run 4 p.s this is using game booster and macro /console maxfps 20 /console maxfpsbk 10
. . . well, i got bored after opening windows after a while yes i know they arent on accounts, but i have overclocked 4ghz i7 12gb ddr3 ram, ati 5800 sompthing usb 3.0 ect ect, i think my cpu was on about 4% with those windows running ill sell someone a xen virtualized slot if you want.
Whatcha think i can do with a ati 4650 amd phenom 2x 4 black edition at 3.4ghz 8gigs ddr3 1.5tb bla bla bla
can you upload screen with your task manager process sorted of memory usage? just wanna look at it, my wows eats 300-450 mb.
if you guys would just minimize the windows you can run 20+ clients on 1 machine.. just make sure u have enough ram. no addons 800x600 all details lowest. 1 client is about 500mb ram this way. cpu isnt used much when screens are minimized, ssd disk/raid recommended.
I got this: Dell XPS 420 (<---- WOOT) Windows 7 x64 Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz nVidia GeForce 9800GT 512MB 256Bit DDR3 4GB of Ram IDK how much i could run with that, but sound like i got a pile of sh$t compared to everyone else.
