True. Always did my mails on the same account I have never been banned. Using bot since middle of wotlk.
So it's a pretty long time without being spotted.

Does this apply sending items cross account on same IP?
Because I have 5 WoW accounts spread between 3 battle.net accounts.

I personally do much simpler :

I got 9 HB running 10-12 hours per day with ARelog

      HB 1 - Start a herbing profile for 5.5hours
      HB1 - Idle for 7 hours
HB 1 - Start another herbing profile for 5.7 hours
      HB 1 - Idle for 5.8 hours
Total botting per day = 11.2hours
Total Idle per day = 12.8
      Total full day = 24h

HB 2 is quite similar but with different times, etc, for my 9 accounts.

When bags are full, HB 1 will send to a toon lvl 2 in a different Battle.net account who own a guild lvl 1 with 6 tabs.
Imagines how many items this toon lvl 2 is receiving.

I would spend hours and hours to collect it all, put in guild bank, then decide what to do with the good.
Therefore I got a profile to connect this toon lvl 2 with ARelog like this :

Toon lvl 2 - Start with a PB profile that collect all mail, place in guild bank until guild bank is full, then collect all and send in COD to a specific client that buy all for me (in this profile, I got specifics name of good, price per stack etc.).
When all has been send, it will collect again mails, place in guild bank, then send it all and left 200 gold in my bags, the rest will be deposited onto my guild bank.

I got 2 others toon, that got full access to the guild bank, in case the toon lvl 2 is getting banned.

Toon lvl 2 - start for 0.4h with ARelog
      Toon lvl 2 - Idle for 6.0hours

This mean that every 6 hours, my toon lvl 2 is getting live, collecting the gold, the goods, sending it, then get to sleep, etc...

Result, this is a farming enterprise, that requires 1% of monitoring, time to times, but AFK 99% of the day and week and I am able to make each week between, 600-700k with zero effort !

Keep boting, this is making shit lots of money, as I am converting this K of gold into real € once every 2-3 weeks.

      Bullcrap.
6 years of botting, not a single ban, been sending stuff across accounts for 6 years.

What gets you banned is excessive *anything*. GB2 for too long, grind for too long, have too many auctions, BGs too long. Anything with "too" in it will get you banned. Sending stuff across accounts has never been a problem for me.

This is nothing but a theory, and none of this can be proven. If you had maybe 10,000 accounts running with 10,000 level 25 guilds and none had ever been banned, you may have more of a study, but one account with 1 level 25 guild proves nothing.

There are many other factors that could cause you not to be banned. Ie. The server you're on, the activity of your guild, the amount of socializing you do and probably 20 other factors that I can't think of right now.

The only safe way to bot is to not bot at all.

      What I am doing is;

      Ive 2 accounts - one b.net account

      acc1 = botting acc
      acc2 = clean acc.

Acc1 has a guild with not many members... 6 maybe.
Acc1 has a couple of chars on it, a farmer (yes just one, I know I should be getting a couple to char swap), and 1 that is doing all the selling / depositting / sending gold to main acc.

acc 2 is my playing char, which is tied to my raiding guild, and isnt doing much involved in making gold, in a non-legal way.

This is working pretty well for me, keeps me incognito and then avoiding manual-reports.

Also what I am doing is private buyers, meaning I avoid AH. Im only using AH to sell very few things, maybe 0.1% of my income, comes from AH.
Ive very little people contact, I avoid people getting mad at me, cus Ive 500 stacks of xxx on AH.

I sell to my private buyer maybe a bit cheaper than AH, but everyone wins; I avoid people contact and get constant gold. He gets his goods cheaper, faster and doesnt have to scout AH.

In my cases, the accounts that I temporarily lost were on the same IP. I've also had it happen to a friend of mine who was using a *** ***** and botting in a Virtual Machine.

What I'm saying is that when I bot, it's for 20+ hours per day... everyday. The Gbank method I use has never failed me. The only bans I have received have been when I mailed items cross-account. Yes, in moderation I'm sure doing so isn't an issue. However, I'm talking about mailing vs. gbanking 5-10k ore/herbs per day, and constantly having the bot running.

I'm not claiming that you can bot care-free by following what I suggested. All I'm doing is trying to offer friendly advice based on my own experiences.

The level 25 guild part was a suggestion for perks only, not some way to mask the botting. The guild bank transfer in general is what I suggested to cover tracks better than using cross-account mailing/trading. The clean/main account is the one that needs to handle the goods deposited in the gbank by the botting account(s). I obviously do not have 10k accounts, but I've been botting steadily on 5-6 accounts, 20+hrs/day for three years now using two IPs; as I said in the original post, the only bans I've received were when I got lazy and mailed items cross-account for 1-2 days... every single time.

Which is very nice - but I think that the majority of bans come from manual reports - such as other botters, or people who get butthurt from your many AH-auctions.

Edit: using two IPs - how do you do that? Do you pay for 2 connections @ ISP, or?

Auctioning on a clean account resolves half of that issue though.

You can use a Virtual Private Network (V-P-N, the site keeps censoring it for some reason), and either have a bot-box (standalone machine for botting) or a Virtual Machine.

Any recommendations for VP-N? I just recently bought 3 accounts (and licenses), so I need some IP protection. Is it easy to setup for a newb?

I've had in the 20's of accounts, I never had a ban until I attempted to strong arm the AH, and I ran 24/7, GB2'd 24/7, BG'd 24/7 everything.

I mail like 400-600 stacks of items a day between accounts, been doing this for like 4 years, only been banned once, and that was my fault...put 500 auctions up :p, got the account back in like 3 hours though. so i really don't think what your saying is valid.

Just google it, and use anything that supports the Open*** client... it's very easy to use, you just select a server and connect with a simple username/pw combo.

i think all these posts pretty much boil down

1-try to do the guild thing if possible.
2-"too" much of anything will das ban you. switch up profiles at least and not "oh i'm gonna farm jade forest 6 hours, then frozen tundra next 18". no.like, farm. bg. go onto another acct (idk, your toon? if you only have 1 acc like me ) tank, quest bot, grind bot, whatever.
      3-don't be stupid.
4-WoW, if anything, takes time to build up. just because you have a bot now does not mean you'll be rich. you need multiple accounts and generally more than 1 computer to make it work perfect bank. much less, you just need the playtime to understand the mechanics, community and what sells/etc. So be patient, babysit it as much as youcan. if you cannot be at the computer for a long time, figure out Buddymanager (which, does not work for me.) or some other plugin/addon that will switch profiles after X amount of minutes, etc.

Ive got 2 bots mailing stuff across accounts to both my main to break down and also to another account. ive got 2 weeks 24/7 botting worth of goods on my bank toon. It frightens me, down right frightens me to know the sheer amount of stuff that is sitting in my mailbox right now.

Not that im saying your idea is false, or that im lucky, or anything else. Just saying what im doing. The 4 accounts im running are all listed under my name, but take that with a grain of salt also.

Posting well over 700 auctions per day on my bot account, no bans or warnings yet.
