Blocked files on Virtual PC (Win7 w/ Parallels 8 for Mac)

      Hey Guys,

Would love any advice you have on this one.

      - I installed Windows 7, the .NET framework, fresh WoW install and HB on my mac using Parallels 8.
      - WoW runs just fine but HonorBuddy crashes during initialisation and also won't let me submit a report (see pics).
      - The reason for the crash is allegedly 'Can not change the routine! No routines loaded for this class!' yet there are routines.
      - Tried with just Singular and also with the FPSware AIO
      - I have tried the most up to date HB (over and over, with no additions/bots or routines) and also tried a known working older version from another machine - I get the same problem.

I've attached what I think is the log file for the pictured problem - I can see the errors in loading certain elements but not sure what to do to remedy it.

      Thanks in advance.

Also found this other support thread with the same problem but no solution: http://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorbuddy-forum/support-issues/84848-problem-can-not-change-routine-parallels.html

*Update* as explained below, some HB files are being blocked from HB because it's being run on a Virtual PC but I can't seem to unblock them.

Thanks for the prompt reply @Keanu! The link looks like just the ticket except that I don't have the Security section visible under the permission checkboxes when right-clicking

Upon following the link in the error, I found this info:

Any clue as to where I might add this:

      PHP:
      <configuration>
         <
      runtime>
            <
      loadFromRemoteSources enabled="true"/>
         </
      runtime>
      </
      configuration>

You probably can't add this because you are not compiling anything. Honorbuddy does this for you. However this might be your solution: "This error may also occur when you try to load a file from a folder linked over Remote Desktop Services (Terminal Services).". Is the Honorbuddy installation located on a shared/linked/remote folder and not on C:\ in your virtual machine? Then copy it to something like C:\Honorbuddy and try again.

did you make a new install of honorbuddy and not installed the latest version over an old installation?

well,i have seen this issue on normal Windows users in the past

Legend! Not sure why this didn't occur to me - I'll put it down to being a bit busy with other work! Has loaded everything as it should and completed initialisation. Hoping it runs smoothly now.

I had tried both - fortunately moving it to a non-remote location within the virtual C: drive seems to have fixed things :D

      Thanks for the input folks

By default, the 'My Documents' folder in the Parallels virtual machine is just a mirror of my Mac 'Documents' folder - hence it having to access them from outside the Windows install.

Hope this thread helps out some other folks running on Parallels :D
