i serioisly doubt gms would try to kill players. what would you do? run back to your corpse? a bot and a player does both the same, so this wouldnt be a effective way to detect bots lol. my bot never died out of nowhere, but could be also of the very little amount i check on it.
Same, wake up tooday and see that my bot was killed around 15-20 times while lvling, logs contained only "You Die" 20 times. No dmg or something else. The main issue he dies in Orgrimmar, where no one can kill him actualy. Realy strange.
recently bot has major navigation issues, my toons die too often when they jump of a cliff, I think most of the deaths are all about this. GMs cant kill ppl, cause they are not authorized to do that. GMs cant even detect if u r botting or not if u r not reported by someone else who is annoyed by ur botting method.
i find this hard to beleive a gm killing folk, as i imagine this would be against gm rules id get some combat addons for logging just to double and even triple check, ive hidden a few times and 1 shot a few lowbies for the lulz but hmmmph
This might be relevant - what levels are you and in what zones, when you all die out of nowhere ? Do you die in 80-85 zones, or in 85-90 in this manner, or only in 1-79 areas ?
It happened twice to me while I was lvling a Priest 80-90 through BG's. After I left BG I died instantly in SW, my equipment got all red. The funny thing is that even after repair my equipment WOULD STAY red .. and only a relog would fix this. Iam not sure if it was a GM or not, but its odd as hell, what are your thoughts on it? I never got banned or anything anyway, and I was lucky enough to be watching the bot on those 2 situations.
i dont know if everyone is just paranoid or if it actually is a bug or some kind of security measure, or algorythm, i do not think gms, personally anyway, would go in and do anything, but say repeated sequences are done over and over, some kind of shit blizzard did wich calculates some shit. anyway........ this happeneded to me as well a couple of times, i can not give proof, and i can not say why or how since i more or less ignored it at the time, but i must say that was before that hot-fix two? weeks ago. maybe it was some kind of bug blizzard didnt tell about. some stupid mistake on theyre side during 5.0.5. yup thats it probably. edit: could have happened more, but i wasnt here all the time, and the one of the two times i saw, the bot spazzed out when he died though if anything at all, but most likely not, it was good i was here. still seems more like a bug though. since it hasnt happened anymore, at least not to me.
I've actually had this happen to me recently. I'm leveling a new bot and was running down the path in STV and just died. However, unlike the original poster, there was nothing in my log indicating that I had been hit by anything.
This happened to me as well.. I was just skipping down the road to goldshire when all the sudden me and my panda freind got instantly sent to the afterlife. I was greeted by an angel with wings and she offered to send me back to the world of the living if I allow her to break some of my stuff and make me sick on my return because i had been very bad this year. I accepted her proposal and upon my return I met up with my panda freind and I noticed a bright blinking probe sticking out of his ass, he told me that he also died but he was greeted by some aliens and they offered to send him back as long as he wears the probe so they can track his every move. I parted ways with the panda because i did not want to be seen with him wearing a blinking dildo. he spoke of suicide last we spoke and recently made a large purchase of deadly poisons from the black market that had no longer been available in the game but usable to him since he was a rogue. He then hearthed back to goldshire inn where he checked into a room and that is the last i saw him, if you want proof he may still be there. If not he may be dressed in drag and doing the hula down the streets of goldshire with the rest of the strange role playing freaks as that is where we met. sometimes i wonder if the alien story was an excuse to wear a dildo in public, but what happened to me was a true story.

Well, i dont know, but, why would you NOT respond if a GM whispered you? They dont just randomly chat with people, and the GM whisper even opens a chat window of its own, it might not be valid for saying "this guy is a bot since i am a GM and whispered him and he didnt answer" but if an actual GM ever whispered me without me making a ticket, i would ofcourse answer, it dosnt seem logical to me to not answer a GM whisper..
the day i got banned i had random odd encounters.. A ally would come and attack me in on a pvp server.. id see it come over and rolfstomp a bitch but before i killed it it would just disapear.. At first i figured well maybe just a BG/group poped up... However it happend 6 more times that day.. Warroirs warlock monk classes that dont just vanish.. I was running kicks profile which has been flaweless for me in the past... Randomly i would end up in the middle of a lake attempting to pick up a quest that wasnt there... OK /camp reboot works again.. 30mins later same shiot different area.. Sooo many bots in bgs and somehow i get nailed.. Bitches ! At another point i saw my bot randomly attack an ally which it doesnt just do.. i ran over to slap a bitch the ally turned into a 90 horde and flew away... I shit you not... i figure hmm maybe some unknown quest to me that the bot knew about that i didnt... TOoo much weird shit that day before i got the slap down.. I quit wow for 2 years its there loss... Now i will sell off the gold and account and really break some rules... Use the money to buy a new high resolution camera so i can send them a picture of my hairy saggy sweaty ball sack..
well i dunno if its a new hacking thing, it could be something, some people use to kill off botters if they think someone are, and as well, i did not see anything in my combat log if i remember correctly. I still highly doubt it has anything to do involving GM's. the weird thing though it has not happened once, when ive played by hand, not even hours and hours of playing with lazyraider. Well, i havent had the problem anymore, as far as i know anyway, been grinding for skyshards closer to 24 hours soon, with no skyshard drop -.- if it was because of repetitive things, i shoulda been dead alot then. im still thinking most likely its just a bug. it is weird though, anyway. but i dont think we have any reason to be afraid because of this, im to lazy myself to read around, but google it, "i just died randomly wow" or something like that. edit: oh, and yeah, it only happened in the vanilla continents.
Ok guys just an update I botted for like 18 hours yesterday farming motes and guo lai keys Then I played for about 10 hours I was going to go back and bot the keys again and on my way as I was flying over fairly high I just died like absolutely out of no where dismounted and everything. I look in log nothing. This is legit.
Well this isn't true lol, I've had a GM pull a boss for my raid before (causing us to wipe), transmorph himself into a boss and kill us. It was fun
