The free profile is useless and I'm not gonna take my chances paying money to check out if the paid one is good! Reading the first post, I naturally assumed that all the features mentioned there were part of the free profile - heck, I didn't even know there was going to be a paid profile option. Can the mods open a 'Buy, Sell, Trade' section if they are gonna allow threads like these to exist. This way forum members like me don't have to waste time in reading the thread, downloading the profile and then find out that you have to actually pay money to have the features mentioned in the profile description unlocked.

I consider myself a real developer and I have contributed a fair share to this forum (both Honorbuddy and Demonbuddy). And while you say that other developers get lots of donations, I can say with certainty that it is not the case. People simply do not donate unless they get more out of doing so. Sure, you get 3-5$ per month - but that's not really much considering the amount of time being put into developing, updating and offering support for the profile. I litterally spent 15 hours a day on a demonbuddy plugin and it was one of the top threads with many users at the beginning of DB - and I received about 15$ per month for at least 200 hours of coding + many hours of support. The ones that "donated" most to me, were actually the DemonBuddy developers who offered me my money back for the 3-session license I had bought + a D3 game key.

The fact that he uses ZapRecorder is not a bad thing. ZapRecorder is a great tool to gather hotspots, and frankly - gathering hotspots for a profile is indeed the boring part that any monkey can do. What makes a profile worth of a payment, is what's done to the profile after hotspots has been gathered, the support for the profile and the fact that you don't have to do it yourself. If your opinion is that the profile only takes 30 min to make, then I see nothing stopping you from making it yourself instead of buying one (that I am quite sure took at least several hours of making, testing and perfecting).

With that said, I do think it's wrong advertising features on this forum, which is only in a paid version (I don't know if that is actually the case, I just read claims of it).

You will also soon be seeing free versions of some of my paid products around these forums (I'm thinking my mining/herbalism profiles at first, only supporting 1-350 - at first I wanted to limit it to a lower skill level, but I also want to show that continent changes etc works in the free version, so one can get a real feel of the extended profile). This is not a grey-zone of the rules on these forums, it's what we've been directly told by the moderators that we are allowed to do - and it is required of us if we want avatars or signatures with any resemblance to our website. As you can see, I currently have no avatar, it was removed by mods because it was a botHaven avatar, and I didn't have a free version of my profiles on the forums.

 

Bull. You claim it mails and sells. Then when you click through to get a profile that does that you get to read a ReadMe that says "no not really you need to pay to get that".

You claim it works 100% afk bug free. Nope. The read me admits that its only 95-99 (even that's a lie). Despite being told repeatedly that you didn't even assign a faction in your free profile you still haven't fixed it. Instead you argued with your free users. Some support. There's no way you have tested that profile for 2 hours bug free because the faction ID remains 99999.

You claim its for alliance and horde. Nope, no horde love without money.

The pictures in the post show where it farms...oh no wait, that's the pay version. There's a different picture in the free folder on the SVN.

You say in the forum post that it has features and then post a ReadMe in the SVN that says not really in the free version. How can you possibly think that's acceptable? And worse how you can be so rude and flippant as to act like your users are the idiots for not reading instructions?! Especially when it can be proven that your free profile does not work unless your user fixes it themselves based on information posted by another user?

The fact that you are standing your ground and blaming the user on this completely flabbergasts me. The fact that you are still getting away with it I can't even begin to describe...

 

God, i didnt even finish this rant. Dont like it, dont use it. Dont buy it, go up to the top and search. I ran this with my warlock 100% error free. I didnt need to mail stuff since i was an enchanter + i use trashcan addon so it removes low value crap when im allmost full. Im exalted and very pleased.

It's too bad this is the top thread for farming these things. I just want to emphasize that the free version is THE WORST PILE OF SHIT i've ever seen in the profiles section. there are zero features, and IT WON'T EVEN TARGET THE MOBS since he put "999999" in the factions section. Most amazingly, in a zone completely stuffed with mobs.... he managed to pick the worst freaking farm area, where they are spaced 100s of yards apart and you spend 75% of your time running doing nothing - and best of all, it also has TONS of quest-only mobs that drop nothing, yet still have to be cleared. just the fact that he managed to pick such a retarded grind area (one that's constantly farmed by players doing dailies, as well... what a wonderful place to bot), makes me pretty certain he has no clue wtf he's doing and the paid version blows as well.

Can't help but feel he's just trolling the userbase, why are the mods letting this thread stay up? he wants to make money of his shitpile xml grind profiles, let him post on mmowned or his blog.

Anyone who wants to farm these just enter "dread amber" or "klaxxi" into the forum search box.

You need to change

in the profile.
Having to find and change faction IDs is not something I expect new and not savvy users to do.

I just started the profile and will verify users claims about whether it working or not.
Updates to come.

Find the nearest repair vendor, presumably in The Sunset Brewgarden.

The free version is a taste of what the full version offer. I invite you, one more time to read it.

Also, I know exactly what is different between the two version, because I have read everything.

I pointed out the lack of vendors/blackspots/mailing in a post because it was not the same as you claim in your OP.
Hence why I edited it saying that it needs to be fixed.

I have to come to this thread multiple times a day because posts in it are reported.
It's annoying.

If you have donate, firstable, tank you very much. The profile will not know
The email used to make the donation via paypal is the one that will receive instruction to access the Donator's SVN. Enjoy !
