without warning I got temp banned for using bgbuddy. Before 5.1 I used bg buddy to level all of my characters with no reports or bans like this. No one reported me afk and I never got deseerter buff, my character always fought and usually got highest killing blows

Seems weird that it isnt a 72 hr ban or a 'last warning' ban for using a bot

Oh well gonna try BGBuddy again in 3 hours and see what happens. If wow weren't so boring I'd care about my account's safety and might even manually pvp =P

first things first, a suspension isnt a ban.

if they knew you where botting they would of perma banned you, not given you a 3 day.

people submit tickets all the time, they don't have to flag you afk to get a GM's attention.

here's what happened someone submitted a ticket probably with a bunch of names, and he checked people, if he could of 100% ruled you out to be a bot he would of perma banned you, but since hes a normal GM he probably couldn't tell, but thought you where doing something anyway, and gave you the 3 day.

 

It wasn't even 3 day, 3 hour which is weird to me

well i guess with them losing so much business they dont wanna perma ban people anymore and i mean come on bg bots are not so bad so 3 hours seems like a fair thing but i would chill because if u do keep it up and they flagged u u could get a perma ban sooner or later

im sure u just got a lot of reports gm saw u botting gave u the temp ban to say quit or be banned forever

 

3 hours = reported as cheater or afk in battlegrounds.

 

3 hours is a joke lol!!!! That means he could not prove you were botting. I think CodnameG is correct because most people that are no kidding busted botting normally get a 3 day suspension or perm ban.

 

it's an automatic ban based on being reported too much.

 

Its a auto ban from the new report feature(you were reported by multiple players). Nothing to see here, carry on.

same thing happened to me, but it's happened to me also in the past bg botting and 3 hr

 

Worse than the BG buddy, you can not levels. This is so striking
which one is reported immediately. Try going to an evening purely Bg. Since almost all bots are on the road. Myself have tried so level up. From level 60 to 85 have been in Bg's. My personal experience is far too conspicuous. Even in the chat to ask the players how much bots probably already back at it. You write your name with a question in the chat. You do not answer, you will notified. Therefore I Vote for kicks and Cava's level profiles

 

It wasn't because of the bot dude.

You behaved stupid towards another player or something.

 

When u get the AFK Debuff 3 times, so being kicked out of bg's 3 times will give u this 3h ban, there's nothing u should worrie about.
but i'd take some time and watch the bot doing some bg's and see if u got stuck somewhere all the time or stuff like that; maybe they just reported all bots afk who stand "afk" deffing a flag, who knows

I don't know about the recent patches and how blizzard does things now with these bans after 5.1, however, I've been suspended at least 15 times for BG Botting and never has it been past 3 hour suspensions. With the new patch though I've had some friends of mine get perma banned without a warning or anything, so I'd wait a couple days for a new update.

 

that's so stupid!!! no one even noticed I was botting (i slightly monitored it every once in a while). maybe it is because I botted for like 12 hours at a time

 

Hello you can bot level saely via archeology from 60-85 although it is a bit faster at 70 due to epic flying. It works to 90 also just don't go to pandaria cus AB bugs there, although slow.

Imo bg leveling is only worth it if your call to arms/random bg is available for low levels. Also you can buy heirloom gear and up to date level gear with extra honor.

I caught bgbuddy on wsg yesterday trying to run up a cliff near horde ramp in an obscure location. It never unstuck so I had to help it out. Rare but I suppose stuff like this is the reason.

 

I had this same problem two days ago. I used BGbuddy and when I came back from my work, I saw that I got freezes. two minutes later a GM wanted to talk to me. I was lucky that I had just got home from my work. The GM said he had received several reports from me for AFK. He said also he had followed me for five minutes.

I think I've had the luck that I could respond to the GM. He gave me a warning. In the email I got from Blizzard that this was my last warning.
