Wow, i wish I spoke russian... but maybe the HB coders can look at how the other bot works and get some ideas...

I already wrote a bunch of code to automate the process. The last problem is that WoW seem to update its memory pointers or something like that when you enter or exit an instance, crashing HB. I've tried to reset the bot, to play a bit with HB's executor class, but the only thing I managed to do is to crash the game AND HB... Might be dirty fixable by using the same routine as when entering a battleground... I'll talk with the dev team when possible. My small plugin does the following actually: - if not in instance, gets inside. - lets HB move to the profile hotspots. When last spot reached, exits the instance. - resets the instance. If cleant in less than 12 minutes (1 hour / 5 instances limit), makes some coffee - repeat first step Misc. stuff: - If standing near an interactable game object (think about stratholme's doors), open it
So, steal code from other bots? Ok, you can STFU, as well. That's an awful idea, and I'm shocked it was even suggested, that's how dumb it is.
Probably can be done technically, but would you really want to? My first thoughts would be, sure, you could sign up for five different accounts, and pay a fortune if this was technically possible. I know that probably would not be a very budget friendly thing for myself to do, but to each their own. Other than that, I would sort of think that you would be asking for trouble entering randoms by yourself botting. People get aggrivated for many things in instances. Even if you play the instance completely correct, there are bound to be complainers/jerks that think they know how to play better or the noobs that think they know everything (that every once in a while person that asks for a warlock to make water and then gets aggrivated because they just don't understand). All of these things lead to chatting within the group. Groups of 15 people in BG can figure out who is botting easily, nevermind groups of 5 people within an instance. It would seem that the risk of getting banned would far outweigh the rewards. Anytime you do anything that involves being social with other players, you greatly increase your risks of getting reported.
This sounds very interesting. Mainly because I like to solo old content for quick easy gold and achievements/mats
As you said.. its prob worse in BG's .. since MOST people could not give a shit if you are grinding PVE mobs .. but as soon as you start fucking up the chance of honor and a win.. then people get angry/report/ban/kick
You realise there are plenty of bots that can run instances right ?. The "holy grail" of botting, is when you can get 10 accounts running ICC .. or 5 accs running random heroics.. and neither of those are "impossible" .. just not "easy" to do. Imagine 5 bots running random heroics non stop for gear+ badges
Aside from running high level content, with tank/healer/dps roles, the ability for a bot to run instances is a great way to level up toons. Especially with RAF triple exp, in SFK you can get over 1 level per clear, and in SM its about the same, slowing down a bit until lvl 40. That video of the russian bot does what I ideally would want HB to be able to do, leave lowbies by entrance, have the lvl 80 grind mobs for 15 mins, then move everyone outside, reset, and repeat the whole process. Just check in every couple hours, clean out bags, and move to the next dungeon. Fastest I've done 1-60 that way was 22 hours, and a friend did it in 17 hours. If a Bot did this, it would probably be faster. It slows down past 60 significantly, but its still a viable way to level up multiple toons at once.
There is already an instance bot being written for HB. (Not by the dev team) From what I've heard/seen, it's pretty good so far, however it has a few issues with boss logic which can be fixed eventually. Don't get your panties in a twist, an instance bot is inevitable.
Botting an instance would be good, especially for the dreaded Pristine Black Diamonds which i need badly for rep turn ins to get the "Insane" title, so far ive had to do it all manually playing, doing 4-5 runs of strat to "maybe" get one Pristine Black Diamond is a pain
The thing with this though, is having 5 bots coordinated together would really take some effort to make them "smart". You can have things such as run here, kill that, but anywhere in the instances difficulty level means that the bots have to be pretty good (tank making sure all adds are on him, heals making sure nobody dies, dps making sure not to pull anything extra, etc...). Not to mention you will have to have 5 different accounts all to run the instances, otherwise it's pretty much useless for you. Finally, questing is better than instance running. PERIOD. I would rather have all 5 bots questing than running instances.
If You think this is meant for JUST Multi botting with 5x or w/e your wrong . This is really imba for just a Singel account.
i think like me he wants to automate instance/raid farming. molten core zg rep/ trash drops, etc. owh and the annoyingly ammount of dire maul for insanity title
