Really? I thought I sounded nice and innocent! lol, I guess I'm not good at sounding meek. I deleted what I wrote to them in the other post though in case blizz reads this forum as well. I don't want them putting two and two together. I know... I'm probably being a little paranoid. How should I word it? I think I can edit the ticket.
Just read your edit, that's a pickle. You could just take the risk and send them your ID. In regards to the wording, make it sound like this: Hello there, I recently received an email stating that my Warcraft account was banned due to exchanging in-game currency for real-world currency. I don't know why this is, considering I just re-activated my account and started (leveling? don't know what you did before getting banned), joined a guild, and talked for a bit. Is there any way you could re-review this issue? It would be greatly appreciated.
I dont think so, its blizz ban script for gathering / fishing, cus im just add a gametime less then 30 hour to 6 of my account before banned. Update : Appeal : 10 Reopen : 3, (1 need sent copy of ID) rest still on queque
Cool thanks man. Hopefully they don't ask for an ID or anything like that. I'll post back tomorrow or whenever they reactivate my account (crosses fingers).
Is there where I go to report that I bot 4 accts using HB gb2/pb/quest pretty much everyday for 8-10 hours, and that I haven't been banned? Sorry for those that lost accounts, last US clear out of reports/automatic script bans was November 1st; perhaps we will see another the first week of January if they are not on Holiday.
For every person who reported being banned, there will be countless others who have not said anything. 200+ accounts have been reported here as being banned, just about all of them are mulit account users that are generating large volumes of gold. Wether you want to call it a banwave or not, it looks like Bliz is hitting the more extreme botters. I called a banwave coming weeks ago, there is just too much agro from legitimate players currently for bliz not to take action. So these reports are hardly surprising. With that in mind, i stopped botting Bg's weeks ago, because it is just too obvious who is a bot, i cut back on how much i farm, how many auctions i post and how much gold i make a week. Giving everything a rest every couple of days and rotating my accounts and toons accordingly. I only ever use farming profiles i have made myself, they are all multi zoned and very long. None of my accounts are linked, my main raiding account is never botted, and none of my accounts do much more than what a normal person would be able to do in a week. I have survived many banwaves, including the glider and archebot banwaves, because i am not greedy, and i play it cautious. With my only ban ever in wow being a long time ago for 72 hours for calling someone in trade chat a chicken fucker. Yes, they used to monitor trade back in the day and care about profanity and trolling. Good luck with getting your accounts back, it would seem to me, there are plenty more bans to come though, so play it safe if you care about your toys.
GB2 is a joke like BGBuddy, seriously I have a private profile now and there are 5 people following the same paths as me... now I see why you all got banned. Say what you want about X,Y,Z waypoint system but at least it was unique and I never ran into this madness.
There are obvious paths to follow when you create a profile, using the gathermate addon, you see those paths on the wow map. The trouble is, all most people ever do is follow those main paths because they want to maximise nodes per hour. Which is stupid, you need to also add in other random destinations across the map as well that are low traffic. Normal people do not path like they are on train tracks, they take side paths, backtrack and do a number of other random things. A good profile should also take those things into consideration and act accordingly, it should not go around pandaria in a huge circle, because no real player does that. They might loop part of jade forest, then jump to toolong steeps loop part of it. Make your own profiles and make them in such a way as to never end up in a train with others, and so if anyone decides to follow you they get bored with the long flight to nowhere. About the only thing i would like to see added to GB2 is the ability to put in a pause hotspot, so that i can add random stopages to my paths where i see fit to add them.
5/5 of my accounts are ok. But i think i am pushing it. I am on leave for 30 days and bot at night and play during the day for the last 2 days. not a straight 24 but prob 18 hours a day for 2 days.
offense intended. your an idiot. never had a SOR banned, because I use real names. on the internet an IP/MAC is as good as a name. don't talk about things you know nothing about.
Please note blizz can not find your mac-address. It is a unique address but never leaves the local LAN, at most only your immediate router will know it.I am not speaking out of what i hear. I am an IT person and that too into core networking. Now botting :-D Ip address is a different story.
