I've only purchased one SoR account a couple days ago, but it was auto locked for name issues. Upon reading more into this, it seems like the Auto Lock always takes place if the names don't match since it's automated. So, is there any point in buying SoR accounts anymore, or will they always get locked? Blizz said they'll unlock it if I send them my photo ID, but obviously the name wont be the same as the original name on the unmerged account. Did I miss the boat on the glory days of unmerged SoR accounts?

my 2 account out of 7 are working, 5 got banned same day.
this is no human intervention but some auto ban detection.

Just put the SoR account in your real name when you merge them, and you will be good. Had this happen to 4 of my most recent SoR accounts. They were locked within 72 hours, I just sent them their form with the copy of my real DL, and all 4 were unlocked the next day.

I bought on like month and a bit ago, did 80-85 on him, then blizzard locked it, I believe it's very likely more accounts are getting locked now, I also bought one couple months ago, which is still fine though :D

@Cukie, Is that true, If I send them ID in my name, they unlock it, only reason I left it locked, was I thought the ID needed to be in the SoR WoW account name, not the B.Net.

I will wait for it to be confirmed, before I send ID in, as they'll probably lock my whole battle.net :p

Nobody said anything of a Fake Name, but they want the Original Owners ID, of the SoR Account, not battle.net don't they?

yes. they want the original owners ID. If you send the bnet owners (your) ID, they will answer the ticket with something like names do not match, and it wont be unlocked.
probably you can say, you didn't use your real name as you registered the account some years ago, but blizz became smart right now. they ban all and everything.

Hmm, well, I just submitted ID for it, hope they don't ban the whole battle.net as they might find it all a bit 'suspicious' :S

Let us know how they respond please. I didn't send my ID in either for the reasons you stated above. I'll send it in if they unlock yours.

Why would you NOT send your ID if the battle.net account is in your name? If you don't submit your ID they will NEVER unlock it. Even if there is only a 10% chance of them unlocking your particular account, that 10% chance is better than the 0% chance of NOT sending it in. Or do you believe they are going to take your name and link any other accounts you have in your name and ban them all?

      Didn't work, their response was,

We have determined that the World of Warcraft account [REMOVED] has been accessed by someone not authorized to do so by the World of Warcraft Terms of Use (Blizzard Entertainment:World of Warcraft Terms of Use).

To protect your privacy and security, we have temporarily disabled this account. Any recurring subscriptions have been suspended to prevent further monetary charges. In order to regain access to the account, you must complete the steps below to secure the account and verify your identity.

Please note that account sharing is a violation of the World of Warcraft Terms of Use, which is in place to help players keep the accounts they play on secure. As such, we are unable to assist any player in regaining access to an account not created in his or her own name.

Which just goes to show how retarded Blizzard's CS people are, as I've already been told this before, I was expected completely new information as I just submitted the ID, but now they want me to print out and return some "Account Recovery" - IMO, It's not worth a crappy 85 in my case.

Read my OP again. I even said that I returned their form with a copy of my DL and they unlocked my accounts. If you want the account back go for it, if not dont.
