So we all know the drill. There's no need to start up any new threads saying that they need to update BW or asking *when* they are going to update BW.

Whenever they have a full point update like this (going from 1.5 to 1.6 for example) there could be an extended time before they get us an updated BW. Be prepared to not have BW for upwards of 24-48 hours after the servers come back up.

This is my first time having to do an update. I did a google search but didn't find anything on how to actually update HB, I have a bunch of profiles I don't want to lose doing a fresh install. Any help would be appreciated.

It's very easy. Once they/someone/anyone says that BW has been updated you can run BW and it'll auto-update itself. You won't loose any of your profiles, etc. I recommend making a copy of any files that you have modified and put them in their own directory just to be safe. The only downside of the auto-update is that it disconnects from the auth server badly, so you have to wait the 10-15 minute timeout for you to be able to log back into BW (or you can go to the web site and disconnect yourself).

The other way is that they always update the copy of BW that you download from the link on the first page/post of the BW Sticky post. You only generally need to copy over the Buddywing.exe and the fasmdll_managed.dll files for an update (unless they radically change things).
