Ban Hammer, Todays Bans - A Theory (NOT BANWAVE)

So ive went over most of the bans today, and it seems that most people were using Gatherit Multi Profile C. It may have been that this profile was being monitored and targetted. Wouldnt suprise me.. Just giving you guys my oppinion here. I would stop using that profile and maybe Gatherbuddy all together or make a private profile.

Blizz doesn't go out of their way to bother monitoring specific profiles, believe me.
Simple batch player reports, it's a popular profile.
No reason to make it anything else.

 

Word, WELL, I still dont advice using that profile and I believe you would agree with me aswell. If this many people got banned using this profile, I think that the profiles way too heat.

But again, do what yall want.

 

Incorrect. Blizzard is not monitoring specific profiles. I simply have good profiles so people like to use them hence making them very popular and a lot of people use them. You just got done saying in another post that I agreed with, that the bans were caused because of player reports. This is the correct answer.

Most of the people who were banned were already on blizzards hit list.

In fact I used one of gatherits profiles as well.

It was at a time were nobody really is around, in panda, with no crz..

Even if I do normally agree that bliz wouldnt do such things,

Im just going to keep useing my old profiles. I dont need to farm more than what i can use/sell. 2 weeks since i stopped farming and im still burning herbs.

 

it was a banwave. i used only self maded profile in different zones/realms. bought that accounts 3 days and yesterday hitted lvl 90 and after 2,5 hour herb/mineing got banned. and also so many ppl got banned = banwave

 

You hit level 90 in 3 days? There's your reason right there.

let's be honest here, the majority of player reports on botting activity come from other botters on the same profile, or botters on their mains doing dailies etc... The majority of the player base doesn't even know what the fuck a botter looks like.

It's just people being dicks because they can, or there's some sort of faulty logic like "oh, if I get rid of him there will be more nodes for me" or some other shit.

I would love to have ten minutes to actively find out from a Blizzard employee what kind of process they ACTUALLY use to detect and ban people using bot programs, and not just rely on the conjecture and guesses everyone on this forum has about how people get banned.

 

Exactly, it is humanly impossible to do that normally. When i level a toon i do it over a 3 week period, yes i can do it much faster, but i choose not to because that is about how long a normal person takes to do it.

You know what RAF mean? And also 80-85 xp requiments nerfed like hell. I hitted 80-85 in 5 hours. Without bot, just multibox. So where is the reason Mr. Clever guy?

 

I bot every single day .For about 11 hours ...If ,I'm on my desk working ,which i do for about 11-12 Hours a day am botting none stop..I havent missed a single day this month nor last ...I dont farm for mats more than 3-4 hours a day (i use Gatherit Premium profiles) ,when am not farming im doing the dailies on all toons and accounts then switch to fishing .. So this isnt a ban wave a banwave is what happened in Glider,Mimic,Gremlin,pirox etc..etc .that everyone who was using the bots went bye bye ..this is scattered here and there ...no not a banwave ..banwave for me is when the bot has been compromised by warden (or whatever his name is today).

 

The wear thing is that people ho was banned only recive e-mail 15h later and in some cases acusing of hack. I never use hack. Just bot.
24h ago i request a recover ACC and s? far i got no email from that ticket.

I think they do no prove what some people were doing and thats why is taking s? long.

The only true similarity between every that got banned on the 6th was that they all went over 8 hours a day. Only a couple of the 30 threads I looked at hadn't gone over that. And who's to say they didn't lie so people won't call them stupid

IMO, the entire reason this happened was because they were able to observe the amount of mats gathered over said period of time. With the node nerfs, it's probably easier to spot botters because normal people won't spend that much time gathering after nerfs. This is why the price went up on most servers.

I am restarting with a different battle.net-account, a different name, birthday, ingamename, nearly everything, except the payment method tho i am hoping that they won't check
the name of the bank account owner.
I will not restart with my existent battle.net-account to have just a new wow-account on their hit list!

 

One wow account per battle.net, one email address (go hotmail, gmail, whatev) per battle.net account, bogus name and info on each, even security question responses, only use your real payment info on your main account, pay for the others with timecards bought anywhere but from Bwizzard.
