Banned - 3 Hours - Botting.

Just got banned for HonorFarming - 3 Hours ban.

Account Name: XXXXXX
Type of Violation: PvP Arena/Battleground Exploitation
Details of Incident: Exploitation of PvP Battlegrounds and the honor system
Consequences for Account: Account suspended for 3 hours

Seems like they didn't know I was botting - Probably banned me for Bug Abuse.

I didn't do bugs, but what I did was botting - Resulting the Bot is really that undetectable or Blizzard don't wish to bann us. (05 Account - Meaning Vanilla - Might be they were just being nice - Dunno).

Either way - Banns are there, watch out and don't bot too often. In this case I had not botted since release of MoP. Just bad luck - 3 hours is nothing, I just hope I make it in the raid

 

Three hours sounds like multiple reports of Afking or something, I don't think they'd ban that low for a botting abuse. just most likely got kicked from multiple bgs.

This is not a ban - it is a suspension. Three hour suspensions are just Blizz's auto-tool to jerk around players. I have had several for various reasons - none had to do with botting (even though I was botting).

 

Your gear is probably horrible.
the people on your team and the enemy team might have noticed a pattern to the way you walk.

So lets say your being camped in a certain spot your bot keeps walking to.
Obviously if you were playing, u would know some one is there to camp you.

if your on a bot, the bot will just keep walking their no matter what.


they are wondering:
why does this noob with bad gear keep walking back just to get owned... and then revive and walk back.
then they figure:
o it must be a bot. time to /report

.... thats just an example.

 

If it's an automated tool from getting deserter, would it be worth to appeal?

 

I wouldn't appeal because you're probably going to bot again soon, besides, they might ask why would you care enough to appeal unless you're doing something wrong

If you would have been suspended for botting you would have received a harsher punishment. I believe it's around a 72-hour ban at first, then a permanent ban.

Be happy lol, other people aren't as lucky

 

Well as I see it suspensions build up gradually from 3h to a full ban so if it's caused by an automated tool from the deserter buff it might be advised to try to appeal it.
Not appealing might show that you know that you've done something you shouldn't and therefore take the full time of it but what do I know.

NEVER APPEAL FOR LESS THAM A PERMANET BAN. BLIZZARD CAN CHECK MORE DEEP TO YOURS ACCOUNT AND RAISE THE 3H TO A WORST ONE.

gota love how people think they know blizzards workings, its a bot ban i got it to for bg farming and i didnt get deserter debuffs.

 

me too today i was botting BG for 1 month 15 hours a day but today bad luck

people act soo stupid and need to use common sense when asking "Iv been banned / locked for "x" hrs should I go on botting"
If u robbed a bank and got caught, you would get in trouble.
Next time if you did the same thing , the consequences will more more harsh.
Use your head and look at the bigger picture.

 

I got one today too, didnt get any deserter buffs, I monitor my bots 80% of the time too. I know that PVP tool makes it switch targets a lot from low hp player to healer etc.. looks a bit bot like if you ask me with a ret paladin running back and forth between targets, before even reaching one of them. I pulled the rest of my bots and probably start farming with them for ore instead of gear.. just wanted some pvp gear since on a PVP server.

Not going to petition though, I believe in it going from 3 hr to full in steps too but I dont want them looking into my account or the other ones I use on the same computer, yet.

 

i also got banned today, used the honorbot and got the 3 hours ban and i bought this bot yestarday so i have only been botting for like 20 hours wtf... I used the normal setup. Should i stop botting permanently or is it safe to contineu?

Identify the source of the problem, explore possible fixes (different CC's, adding blackspots, useful plugins), TEST out these solutions before you just let the bot go again. Make sure that it doesn't do the same mistake again. Do not take anything for granted. If you are running a farming profile, watch the bot go over the profile several times, noting spots that you need to avoid and prevent it. Just take a few extra minutes to confirm the safety and security of your setup.
