Intel Core i5 2500K AsRock P67 PRO3 (B3) SilentiumPC Fortis HE1225 Western Digital Blue 500GB, SATA III, 7200RPM (WD5000AAKX) Vertex3D VX7850 2GBD5-2DHX Kingston 8GB (2x4GB) 1600MHz CL9 HyperX Grey what about this one ? I want run about 5~ diablo + bots. Any tips ?
This setup is way better than the first. I would say it can run 5 bots easily. If you want to run 5+ the only thing holding you back is the 8GB RAM. I would recommend getting 16GB RAM for 5+.
I feel that im doing something wrong and cant figure out what it is. i5 3570 oc @ 4.4 2gig supercharged 660 ti evga 250gig hyper-x ssd 16 gig gskill 1600 asrock extreme 4 850 psu isboxer (round robin + hyperthreading and 20/20 fps) + trinity 1.7.1.7, absolute lowest d3pref, all settings i can find in win7 on max performance and my cpu is at 80% at 8 clients. this doesnt seem right. are the guys running 12+ using lightweight combat / loot routines or something? is the trinity what is slowing me down so bad or maybe a setting i dont know about in isboxer or something? 8 clients @ $1k USD isnt very good, hope i can figure this out with some help from some buddies. I was hoping this system could handle 10-12, i have 32gig ram available but the cpu is the problem atm... anyone feel like helping out?
Seems like you are doing everything right, to save on CPU resources. For 10+ bots I would recommend selling your i5 3570k, and buying a i7 3770k. I bet you can sell the 3570k in the range of $160-$180. Also your 16GB RAM will probably max out at 10-11 bots. Do you have a Microcenter near you? They sell the i7 3770k for $229.99 in store pick-up only though. I also have a 3570k running 5 bots atm, but thinking about upgrading to the i7. Btw, what is your CPU temp & VCORE voltage @ 4.4GHz OC with 80% load?
hi doesnt mother board need specification ? can someone help on the type of mother board to be used .
You guys totally over looked AMD cpus in this aspect. They have cheap multicores CPUs that perform well when it comes to multicore performance. Yes their per core power is far below Intel but in this case, multi botting on on AMD can help u save a lot. I live in sg btw, been building comp for years as a hobby. Your i3 totally wont cut it
@Nuke: Will the FX-8150 be able to pull 10-12 bots ? without issues - I'm looking to upgrade my entire system, and I can't choose between Intel or AMD, I've always been an AMD-guy - but all test shows Intel is running circles around AMD atm. But as my comp is only being used for botting now, if the FX can pull 10+ i'll save the cash....
vcore is 1.0-1.1 with a .30 offset and stays around 1.35/1.4. temp sits around 70-75c under 80% load with coolermaster radiator and artic silver (will get it lower with a bigger external fan). I think I have all my settings right in bios but i def could be missing something. I'm not a seasoned veteran but i have build 4-5 in my life so im open to all suggestions. I know ram will need to go up if i go past 10 and thats an easy fix, the cpu is what im worried more about. what is your load % running 5 bots on your i5? I think trinity and act 3 profiles are resource hogs cause of all the info they process to make them as good as they are. i may try some basic gold find profile with generic combat plugin and see what the difference is. amd vs intel im not biased. I have an amd phenom 2 x4 965 black that isnt overclocked at all thats pushing 4 at 80% and its a $99 chip. I can see the 8 core or w/e they have now able to handle more instances / clients well and have no problem trying it in the future... would just like to see some feedback from amd users. as far as the i7 goes im currently thinking about Intel Core i7-3930K Sandy Bridge-E 3.2GHz 6 core / 12 threads or a big amd chip. looking for next build to run 20~ clients. would really like some imput from some buddies that run big rigs like this. looking at 48g memory and not sure about vid card memory ... not sure if 2gig will cut it or need to step to 4. playing on mipbias 9.99999 seems it would cut most of that out but not sure. my phenom x4 965 is $99 and handles 4 at 80% not oc while my i5 handles 8 at 80% way oc'd for $200 ... i was hoping to gain atleast a little value other than space of 2 computers but maybe it is what it is. prolly should have spent the extra $300 on the big i7 and the $200 on the mobo and just went for it, but i expected more from the i5. hopefully i can squeeze out a little more juice somewhere.
