nope, just got a response....account was a classic account and had several legendaries and achievements, plus 105k gold and 3 level 90s.....all gone perm. sucks
I feel for ya bro...from now on I think I'm only going to bot my next accounts toons from 85-90 on the 3 of them Questing only, and then I will make a separate farmer account and have them only tied through a guild bank, farmer will be under a fake name and different email for making gold for my characters.
nope. entering a new phase here with this hacks business, as opposed to the "economic exploitation" they've slapped on everything for past couple years, and that was always reversed with a ticket. it's pretty weird they are going with "hacks" and not their "3rd-party program" or bots email. first time and done, just like diablo. I lost one about 2 weeks old with a tiny bit of GB2 gathering, never over an hour at a time. tons of human players do more gathering per day by hand, no bans. I think it's just a policy change for some reason, they've decided to go after gatherbots earlier and with no reprieve. personally it makes more sense to me, I never understood how they'd permaban some bot that was running GB2 20 hours/day for months for "economy exploitation" then just reverse it 5 min later. it's obviously a bot, duh. only explanation is they just didn't want to lose accounts and subs, or they really went with the theory that most of these accounts are compromised... but that's easy to check, and they never did, they'd reverse it anyways. thing is, if they are permabanning FOR REAL pristine, no warnings, accounts that are just gathering a few hours per day for a couple weeks... it's completely not worth the bother. it's a lot of money for a new account and a LOT of pain in the ass to get a toon to 90 with maxed herb/mine.
by the way, i hope everyone realises that most, almost all, of their achieves, mounts and pets aren't "gone" if their main gets blizzowned... just add a new wow to same battlenet, or transfer a toon into this battlenet, and they'll all be there.
I put in a ticket sort of nerd raging (not for real) about how it is just my alt account that I specifically gather materials and a bunch of stuff. Hopefully I can talk them out of it. I'm still working on my D3 account that got perma banned...
They aren't going to overturn if it's for hacks. They usually overturn if it's exploitation of the economy. They won't overturn D3 either, and they are probably getting swarmed anyways.

... da faq? That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard, since it is completely not true. WoW account gets banned, not your battle.net, learn about botting or something please. Not sure about bragging about this to show I know anything but, 11 accounts banned knowledge..
