Hi, I'd first off like to say how awesome HB is, and how it has made wow so much better for me, and thanks to all the developers and users that help test and post on forums. OT. I am computer retarded and dont understand anything about any computers, I'm wiling to spend around $500-600 on a new computer that can run 2 sessions of Honorbuddy and 2 WOW, skype, and Football Manager at the same time. Football Manager takes up a lot of space on RAM i know that, but thats about as much as I know. If someone mentions a part or some type of something I wont understand, looking for someone to really help me here if possible , ill use NewEgg to buy unless someone links something else. heres the thing, what do you have? because a monitor, case, keyboard, mouse, is going to take a good chunk of your budget. along with things like a DVD drive, and the storage your going to need it, in the end you may only have like $200 to actally spend on the parts of the computer your going to care about, like you Processor, Ram, Motherboard, Graphics card.
I have mouse, keyboard, monitor, speakers. Going to need all else though, case and such need a whole CPU. I have a crappy acer 19inch monitor that i bought way back when, and i know i might not get full potential out of my graphics card but would that affect how fast things run?
not really, but a decently sized and decently good LCD will run you around $100+ so as long as you have something then you should be fine.
HP has some really nice affordable systems that work well right off the shelf with some minor upgrades. I recently needed a new laptop for school and dropped 400$ on a mid grade model that runs one WoW and HB with Skype just fine while I am browsing the university library databases and working on essays or research papers. I'm sure for another 100-200$ you could find a laptop that will do what you want. On the otherhand for that same 500-600$ you could build a really nice desktop that will do twice what you are wanting to do, if you had the technical know how to put it together yourself. Check out Newegg.com, should be able to find a good system there.
Yeah I would like to build a desktop but the thing is i know nothing about what parts i should get, but i could always youtube how to put them together just need to know what parts
Sounds silly but look on ebay for E-shops, here in the UK you can get an FX4100 with 500gb HDD and 4gb RAM for ?250 (about $400) some deals are really good. Other options are bare-bones packages and buy the parts separate, you dont need a high tech GPU if your not too fussed on GFX just RAM would be the priority with at least a x4 care CPU.

I payd like 70 euro for 1 but it was a display model pretty good better then the one which costed me 200+ a few years ago. Also if you do not have alot of spare time to build a pc then let it get builded by a shop where you can select the components I remember building my own pc and the first time a few contacts weren't screwed right had it taken to a shop and they told me the motherboard is broken so i rescrewed it and fixed lol dam shop told me even if their advice isn't right you still have to pay .
It depends if you want it for running HB or for actually playing wow. My spare PC runs 2 bots with Intel core 2 duo e8400 ($50) 2gb DDR2 Ram ($20) ATI 5450 silent ($50) Thats not a parts list, its just to let you know if your just after a cheap 2nd PC to run 2 HBs, skype etc. then you really dont need to spend a lot at all.
Oh yeah i probably should have clarified, I will still be playing wow on that comp, i just want to be able to run 2 hbs and 2 wows at same time skype for arenas and another game that will take up a lot of memory so yeah i will be playing WOW not just HB running
