When testing a random profile I make, I noticed that hotspots contained into that profile are followed in a random order. That easily leads my poor character in taking dangerous paths to reach them, eventually geting killed. And some hotspots are just skipped (maybe because judged to be too far, in comparison with others hotspots). Did you guys find a way to make your fellow follow a route you wanted him to follow, or you just leave him wandering at his own risk?
Hi there Tray1993 it already a issue in the Thread: http://www.thebuddyforum.com/gw2buddy/94229-do-list.html so the devs know the issue and hopefully there will be a fix in the future, until then it's just gamble
I don't believe it is an issue as such, but is as intended. I guess as a means to appear more natural, or less easy to identify a pattern of movement by Arenanet's bot catchers. I'm just guessing here, I don't know for sure. It is something that profile creators like in2fun would love to have changed, so that the hotspots are run in order.
yes the dev's intended for this. they say its more human like to go at it more random instead of set path. I have been asking, begging, pleading for them to add hotspot order since day one. And will continue to do so. till then I have found its best to use least amount of hotspots as possible. I try for 3-4. Spread them out. Raise your pull range so it will leave the path to the next hotspot. Which in turn turns the whole area into a grind spot with the chain pulling of mobs with high pull range. It can lead to going way to far away and stucks. But what I find working atm. I spend prolly at least an hour testing each profile before release them, most more then that.
maybe and option would be, random the coordinates by the bot like in the some hotkey scripts where u can define a square with the coordinates of two peaks and the script randomize the click between this space... so i could be once the meshes are workin fine again, to define one hotspot and the bot randomly adds +/- some numbers of the coordinates that the area is the same, but everytime another hotspot... since it really unsually and unhuman to run to exact the same spot again and again... btw impossible to do that by hand just my 2 cents
