First account action ever for HB activity. Just a three hour ban, but I'm wondering if it's safe to continue. I ran it overnight and was aware of the risks and I'm glad it was such a small action. I could have lost a lot more. My question is, how long should I stop using HB and when I start up again and supervise 100%, will it be reasonably safe? Yah.. I am a little worried. My main account with 11 90s just got a 3 hour ban. I of course understand the risk of losing any account which I bot, but I was only BG botting over-night. I wonder how they are detecting such things? He only ran for say 8 hours. This seems new. Are they possibly auto-temp-suspending for player reports x # or new detection of movement by warden like program? (Not say HB is "detected")
i am worried too. first time i get a ban (3 hours band for doing BGs during the night) I used to use honorbuddy for more than 12h, non stop, and nothing happened. Till now.
Yeah I know the general attitude around here will be "don't bot unsupervised for so long" And yes that is obviously good advice. But this is clearly something new. I unsubscribed as soon as I got this 3 hour suspension. I won't play WoW if it's not safe to bot. I simply love botting too much.
Has anyone else noticed the new load bar when you zone? Isn't that something new (about 2 weeks new)? The load bar sometimes goes by 3x really fast instead of 1 longer slow one. Maybe that has something to do with it.
I've noticed. Every one of my friends has noticed it. But every one of them bots as well. No clue what it is. My guess is it's just some stupid bug introduced by Blizzard's lazy and incompetent programmers during the 5.1 transition. They should take a lesson from HB's developers and try to maintain a clean application.
Don't bot for a week or so. They may be monitoring your account. DO stay logged in for as long as you normally bot though. Make sure you DO stay logged in for as long as you bot, this will deter suspicion of botting.
I got Honorbuddy about a week ago, have done maybe a total of 15 hours botting BGs on different toons. I have not gotten any 3 hour bans, nor have a lot of people on the forums. I think the issue is the supervision. While I bot BGs I sit at my comp with the bot running on second monitor. I have probably had a total of more than 5 people whisper me or say something in chat to the effect of "are you a bot?" Everyone is now aware of bots and they are looking for them. And with probably 50% of ppl in BGs botting, it is getting easier to spot them. Bot smart, pay attention, and when somebody whispers you with "omgz u r botz!" reply back, "yep, that's why I'm responding to you. maybe if you payed more attention to the bg than other players you wouldn't be last on the charts" and then proceed to top damage done. Problem solved. TLDR; Don't bot unsupervised!
Blizzard has implemented some new detection mechanism for BG's. Even those who multi-box are getting hit with the temp bans (some not even being over turned). Just check the general forum at dual-boxing....or blizz forums. Let's face it though, bots are ruining non-organized pvp for those that enjoy it. I hate nothing more than running up against tons of bots when I want to "p"vp. As good as some of them may be, they still do stupid shit most of the time.
