Thanks for all the hard work that you have put into this amazing profile. I have found a few flaws in it that I believe should be looked at. This is on a Horde character. It grinds to lvl 58. I find that an issue due to the fact that it started to do this at lvl 56. Also when I hit lvl 58 it proceeded to Blasted Lands to pick up its first quest out in Thrallmar called The Agony and The Darkness. But that quest had a chain of quest that needed to be completed before hand. I had to do the quest chain by hand to be able to unlock that quest so that the profile could continue on its path. Also while out in Hellfire Peninsula there was several lvls that I needed to grind out because the quest that the profile was trying to pick up, the character was not at the specified lvl to unlock the quest, causing it to get stuck at the npc trying to pick up an unavailable quest. Im currently at lvl 62 in Zangarmarsh and had to manually complete the chain to unlock another quest the bot was trying to accept that was unavailable. This quest is called Stealing Back the Mushrooms. Thank you soooo much for your hard work. Its an amazing profile, so I hope that this will help round it out a little more. I'll keep my eye out for anything else! Thanks =)

If you installed a few days ago, I assumed you haven't deleted your HB folder and reinstalled today? Do that, or delete the cache folder. One or the other will fix your issue. As listed in post 1.

Having an issue in EPL at level 41. My character accepts the quest Marauders of Darrowshire from Chromie, and then runs to the side of the tower and just stands there. I've attached the full log to this post. Thanks for your hard work on these profiles, they are magnificent!!

Edit: After manually performing the steps for the Marauders of Darrowshire quest, I started the bot again. It ran to Chromie, turned in the quest, and continued on its merry way. Looks like a possible issue with just that quest, then? Leaving this here in case the log is still useful.

Just an update on what have found. I noticed that in Zangarmarsh that sometimes when accepting quest under huts it does just fine accepting the quest but does not leave the hut when done picking up the quest. It just sits there. Thanks

Hi, I'm having an issue with the "truffle shuffle* quest, it just stays in one spot and waits for a respawn, 45minute timer. I'll mail you log shortly

You know you should put in avoid mobs like Sha's and the Hozen around it... Would make life easier and look less like a bot...

Updated Laosy2.cs Quest Behavior

Mostly Code Cleanup, so it's a smaller file, but I made changes to the movement section. Hopefully should fly correctly, but this is UNTESTED as I didn't get Laosy Scouting today. Need feedback. Is it still failing, or worse!

Hi, NHK,

Rogues are considered the "most squishie" of all classes. At one point, it was so bad that Kick was refusing to support anyone using a Rogue with his profiles.

Kick does the absolute best that can be done in his quest profiles via careful selection of hunting grounds, making sure toons are at a "safe" level to do the quests, etc. He'll send toons to grind areas for a level or two occasionally, before sending the toons off on the next set of quest. This arranges for squishies to have the fewest number of deaths possible. However, despite his care, things sometimes still get dicey.

But from your description, the number of deaths you are experiencing seems quite excessive. I'd go to the auction house, and try to get the best (green) equipment you can find for your level. Make sure all your slots are filled--rings, amulets, offhand, helm, shoulders, etc. If you continue to suffer an inordinate number of deaths, please toss your full log, and let's have a look.

You might also fare better if you give the Rogue Combat Routines a look, and see if one perhaps performs better than the one you're currently using.

Next to Rogues, Mages are the next most squishie. If you like few deaths, DK is probably your best choice, followed by Warrior and Paladin. But no matter your choice, your experience is not typical.

cheers,
chinajade

Hi, Knokploeg,

Your log does not reflect your problem description (as far as aggroing/killing birds). The toon is trying to pick up The Shado-Pan from General Nazgrim, as you indicated.

If the General is not offering, this can be for a number of reasons. The General could be in the wrong 'phase'. If this is the case, then make certain all the other completed quests in your log are turned in. If there are any, turning them in may advance the storyline and push the general to the next 'phase' state.

The other thing it could be is a corrupted cache. However, this log does not reflect those symptoms. If you'd like to try clearing the cache anyway, here is the process:
• Shut down WoW and Honorbuddy
• Delete the WoW/Cache/, WoW/Data/Cache/, and Honorbuddy/Cache/ directories
• Restart WoW and Honorbuddy
Caches can get corrupted a few of ways:
• You switch toons, or do a quick log out/in, without restarting Honorbuddy
• You simultaneously run multiple sessions of Honorbuddy from the same directory on disk
• There are other (user caused) triggers, but these are the most common.
If neither one of these solves your problem, please post a fresh log, and let's have another look.

cheers,
chinajade

Hi, Sprt,

There are many ways to level a toon, but all of them would have this problem with getting stuck 'selling'. Your other choices include Grinding (somewhat risky), Battleground (very risky), Archeology/Harvest, Dungeons, etc.

Your problem is not a profile issue--its is an Honorbuddy issue and should be posted in the Support forum.

But, to get you going, you might try the following...
If you want to help HBdev squish this bug once and for all:
• Go to the HB/Cache directory and find the #######.cqc file(s)
• Since the forum won't allow *.cqc to be directly uploaded, Zip the *.cqc files along with your log.
• Upload the Zipped file to a Support issue with a short description of the problem you encountered
To get you going again, here's how to repair the cache issue:
• Shut down WoW and Honorbuddy
• Delete the WoW/Cache/, WoW/Data/Cache/, and Honorbuddy/Cache/ directories
• Restart WoW and Honorbuddy
Caches can get corrupted a few of ways:

If this fails to solve your problem, please make a follow-up post in the Support forum, and attach a fresh log over there, please.

Hi, Plzdontban,

Your problem description is not a profile issue--it is an Honorbuddy problem. You should post your issue, along with your full log in the Support forum.

Hi, Papirico,

Kick's Dread Waste's profile was designed for flying, and no, it will never be reflowed for ground-mount use.

If you would like to do Dread Wastes by ground, you will need to find another profile pack. Perhaps, Cava's profile pack (questing) can help you with this, but not certain. If Cava's doesn't fit the bill, there is a cornucopia from which to select in the Profiles Forum.

cheers,

Hi, ThorloX,

Anytime you ask for help, you should attach your full log that demonstrates the problem.

Based on your problem description alone, we'll guess you've managed to corrupt your caches. If this is the case, follow the procedure outlined below:
• Shut down WoW and Honorbuddy
• Delete the WoW/Cache/, WoW/Data/Cache/, and Honorbuddy/Cache/ directories
• Restart WoW and Honorbuddy
Caches can get corrupted a few of ways:
• You switch toons, or do a quick log out/in, without restarting Honorbuddy
• You simultaneously run multiple sessions of Honorbuddy from the same directory on disk
• There are other (user caused) triggers, but these are the most common.
If that doesn't get you off-and-away, please post your follow up to the Support forum, since your issue is not profile-related.

cheers,
chinajade

Hi, Babar,

Honorbuddy does the quests in the sequence specified in the profile until complete--it doesn't matter what color the quests are. If you feel the quests are 'too low' for you, load a level-appropriate profile and start there.

If the profile is written in a monolithic fashion (there is no other 'zone-based' profile to which you can switch), you are out of luck. Either let the bot run the profile to completion, or find another profile pack.

cheers,
chinajade

Hi, Norova, and thanks for the log and the report!

Alas, it looks like you've got a minor issue with your Honorbuddy installation. Your log shows the following errors when it was trying to complete Marauders of Darrowshire:

[22:04:08.167 D] Could not load reference assembly when compiling: Microsoft.GeneratedCode, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null
...
[22:04:08.529 D] Could not load reference assembly when compiling: Microsoft.GeneratedCode, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null
...
[22:04:08.739 D] Could not load reference assembly when compiling: Microsoft.GeneratedCode, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null

Alas, there is nothing Kick can do about installation issues. :D But, thanks very much for making sure the profile doesn't have a problem!

cheers,

Hi, Zaraki2001,

There is absolutely no way to help you with problems like this unless you post a log that shows the problem.

Most of the time it is a problem with a Plugin, or user-created problem (like corrupted caches). But, without the log, we've no way to tell you how to correct it.

cheers,
chinajade

Leveling my toon right now, just hit 31 (horde btw), and my toon ran up to the flight master in Stonetalon Mountains, opened up the flightpath and just sits there, not flying anywhere. I'm trying to manually fly to each of the south barrens flightpoints right now.
