People of HBland, listen up!

As a very experienced player and a botter, I really feel like sharing my views with you.

I think we as a community have to do something about BGbuddies flooding the battlegrounds,

The problem is, players who do not bot are really getting sick of bots in the battlegrounds and you can see that by the vast number of threads related to bots in bgs are being created every single day on the official forums, also if you play manually and are in an active guild you can see people complaining about bots very very often.

If you go to EU forums at this moment there is a topic 48 pages long regarding this, with a few blue replies as well.

My opinion is, that really, most other players do not even know about our leveling bots, pet leveling bots, farmers, lazy raiders etc
It just doesn't bother them at all and they don't pay attention to it! Some get annoyed by gatherbuddies stealing their nodes but that's really no big deal, maybe flooding AH with stuff causes prices to go mad and people notice that and dislike it but they don't really mind having cheap bot mats to buy, they love it.

But BGbuddy drives the entire PVP active player base furious!

Blizzard knows this, and as they are a big and rich company I really fear, and feel that some of their people will actually figure out a way to legally tackle bots, because WoW is their best and most profitable game, and they will not tolerate their customers constantly whining about BG bots. I fear that something big is going to happen and it may ruin experience of us all.

If you do NOT see this as an issue, or haven't even noticed this, you are literally iq 14 or blind. proof for that on this video

What I would want in this topic, is for members of this community to share their views and possible solutions to this. (disabling BGbuddy until it gets reworked? Limit number of bots that can use it at the same time? Not allow it during night when all the bots cluster? etc)

Believe it or not, Blizzard needs botters. Botters are what keeps low pop realms alive by providing cheap ores, herbs, gems, potions flasks etc.

If you run BGBuddy 24/7 you deserve to be banned.

 

Most people know if you want to risk using BGbuddy, you will probably be banned... I personally think that its great that things like dungeon buddy DONT work in MoP, old world stuff for leveling fine... but new content, as a bother / legit player I don't want new content screwed up by botting.

People that want to bot 24/7 in BGs are just plain stupid. And these same people will never stop doing it because it wrecks the game.... they dont care

 

24/7 is not the issue. It only takes 1 game to spot the trail of bots.. It should be disabled till it is reworked IMO. But then, i never touch bgbuddy so im not the one losing accounts.

 

They never, ever needed a 3rd party application for any of there games.

 

Oh really? Diablo 2 would have died at least 5 years ago if it wasn't for d2nt, kukbot, d2bs.

 

People are getting more and more lazy in this game.. Can you blame them? I'm not sure.. It's been the same for around 7 years.. BG's haven't changed much besides adding a few more, and when you need to grind all that honor on all your alts. You just get bored.. If they wanted to fix the issue they should make it easier to gear up alts.. And remove the upgrade feature.. Then i guess most would only bot for the HKs.

I'm sorry, but people are obviously deciding that it is worth the risk for them. You can't disable a whole botbase because some people think its unsafe to use at the moment. Far as them finding a way to disable the bot entirely - they would have done that if they could. They could update warden, but they don't.

 

i cant speak for pvp below 90 but what i see at max level is nothing special , there are a few bots here and there but the funny thing is the nearly same amount of bots where in cata present, but there nobody gave two pancakes about it.
another thing are the increased amount of threads in the forum, i bet 50% or more are just whining about bad players and not bots, and yes some players are even dumber than the bots so they are seen as such.
for example if i let run my dk f?r BGs to grind my honor cap for the week he is nearly in every game under the top 3 in kills and dmg most time even 1st in dmg and i would say nobody whould ever flag my char as an bot.

 

The wave of bots in battlegrounds are indeed a problem for human players in fact it was battlegrounds that made me investigate honourbuddy in the first place.

I can see a major storm hitting soon because the state of bg's are really dire. Bgbuddy provides no real help in the battle so costs many legit players games leading to flaming, but hurt and more importantly reporting/forum posting.

Bgbuddy needs major work to provide some use to a team so legit players won't get so mad over it.

That being said IMO bgbuddy is the most risky method to bot, even more so than grinding.

 

I agree 100% the BG botting MUST change.

During PVP / BG CC development and testing (mostly at night US time) the majority of BGs are made up of HB bots.

There is no way anyone in their right mind would let their characters run this way if they saw just how many HB bots were running. As far as I'm concerned they are simply begging to be banned.

 

you'd be suprised how often i see guildies talking about 1/2 of there BG being the bot train... big mob of players going to the exact same points and doing nothing useful but trying to kill other players... unfortunately you may think that most of the players think it's just stupid people.. but it's not viewed that like, the amount of players using honobuddy now compared to 2 years ago and the flooded battlegrounds with bots where 1/2 the group is doing the exact same thing is rediculous and players are getting fed up.. i watch guildies talking about how they got the other half of the BG to report anyone doing the same thing in the bot train... i know for a fact guilidies have got groups to lose intentionally just to report a bunch of bots repeatedly... BGBuddy in it's current state is unsafe and honestly i wouldnt use it on my account if someone paid me

 

People are just greedy and lazy. And then to top it off they come on here and complain they got banned or suspended. Well news flash, botting blatantly with other people in groups IE: dungeons and BGs, is likely going to get you suspended or worse. You can't have your cake and eat it too, so anyone that got banned because of BGbuddy... suck it up, everyone abuses it now, and more will deal with the consequences.

 

It is just like that icecrown dungeon farm where 100 bats a minute went out and in, i think most of those are chinese players farming for any unknown reason or people who farm honor for others and charge for it, they really don?t care about the account.

 

Blizzard wouldn't need botters? With gold being cheap as it is, they lost 2mil + subs. What do you think would happen if the economy crashed?

 

They need to fix this, currently playing a IoC with 9 real players... yes... 31 bots including me.
Not only is that a problem but the bots act retarded in any bg. The problems have been reported many times
on this forum allready yet every attempt to make it better fails and results in even more retardness and obvious botting.
Why cant you do something about this, cause it is deffo getting out of hand. I dont care if blizz cares, and if blizz needs
or doesnt need bots, as said above, the pvp playerbase is getting furious,blizz is responding massively to them now...


seriously, do something about that bgbuddy! This deffo is, silence before a major storm!

I don't really care, when I want to play normally and I que for a BG.. BGbuddy is a quick way to get my HK's... look for the group of 8 bots running around together... AOE... win lol
