Is there any global ETA when any of the new/repaired features are comming? I'm talking about: - Running calculations in external process (old feature that was removed but made the bot insanely fast on my pc) - Mentoring function (old feature that was either removed or never worked in hearthbuddy but did in hearthcrawler) - Better and easier mulligan support like: do we have the coin? do we have card x in our hand? (was also there in hearthcrawler) - Using HearthArena or something similar instead of default values for arena. I know there seems to be some kind of BETA but this is the post there from 04/13/2015: <Under Construction - This thread and section will be updated over the upcoming weeks as preparations are made for user-ready builds> So it looks pretty much abandoned. Could we please get any sort of support on Hearthbuddy, the only thing I ever see happening the last months is updating some values so it works with the new client but nothing really new like when the original author of Silverfish was working on the bot. And don't get me wrong I do like the bot but I feel there just some lack of support on the bot.
There's no current ETA, and it's not abandoned; just on the back burner. Around the time I started getting Beta stuff ready for HSB/EB, I got things in place for both forums. Path of Exile had a very, very large update announced, and a closed beta test that would last ~2.5 months before the release. I used every bit of those 2.5 months updating EB in preparation for the Release in July, while maybe a full week of dev time total was spent on HSB core stuff as needed. We do have someone always working on AI improvements and those get pushed as needed, but the core HSB bot is pretty stable as-is. There are a lot of the core improvements I want both bots to have, but those improvements were not done for either, so it was either test bed it on HSB, or on EB. EB made more sense, since it's been in maintenance mode since Oct. 2014, which is the same time I started doing more stuff for HSB (instead of EB). In addition, the new revamp of the PoE client was something that I needed to start adjusting for sooner, rather than later. As a result, all work done planned for HSB/EB was done in EB, which if you want to see some things themed for EB, but basically what HSB will be getting, click here. I based a lot of the current things you see in HSB off of things I had done in EB previously, and they mostly worked out. There's some design restrictions and some problems that needed to be solved in a different way. I managed to work out a new design that I think will address all those issues, so it's just going to be a matter of applying it to the HSB project once PoE/EB are back in the state of not needing daily maintenance, which will take a month or so at least. It's not even 3 weeks after the major release, and they have a new content release coming in a day or so to add a lot of the things they didn't get pushed at launch. As soon as things settle down with PoE/EB, I'll be back to spending more time on HSB and be able to continue the Beta section as originally planned. As I said, all of the non-HS specific stuff is done and in EB. It's being tested right now by people who have done some pretty neat things with our API, so I'm confident if it works well there, it'll transition over here just as well and open up some things that right now just aren't possible with the design in place. So, that's where things pretty much are at the moment. HSB will be getting a burst of updates and design changes in the near future, but after EB is taken care of so it can run on its own again with just the weekly maintenance it typically requires.
Thanks you very very much for your response! And by saying 'that I think will address all those issues' do you mean the issues I summed in the first post?
pushedx, Is there any chance we will see a priority in implementing a 'custom class' feature along the lines of what was available in HonorBuddy WOW Bot? It would be fantastic to have an API we all can use to code custom logic to improve the overall logic and make classes like in mmoGlider days and HB after Glider was finally shuttered. I know the old Glider/HB community is still out there, as I was an early user and lifelong Glider, then HB user and contributor. I'd really enjoy putting together an arena class for drafting and gameplay and see it go 10/10 all day all night. BTW are any of the current developers still around from the Glider group?
