PROBLEM: Honorbuddy needs an update due to a WoW Client Update or Addon.
The Update process on our side starts and questions on yours.

We release TEST RELEASES, BETA version and FINAL RELEASES but what's the difference?

      TEST RELEASE:
A test release is first public version running with the latest wow client. It is still "work in progress"

Usergroup: Experienced Users and 3rd Party Developers

Bugs: A test release has bugs. Confirmed issues are listed in the test release thread, others are in our internal bugtracker only.
A test release is not performance optimized!

Reports: Use the release thread of a test release to report bugs. Make sure to ALWAYS add a logfile and read the first post of the release thread.
There you can find the rules for posting and posts not following these rules will be deleted unanswered.

      BETA:
A beta is an internal release with bug fixes and new functions to be tested.
Fixes and new functions may not make it to a final release. Things added in a beta can be removed completly if the coders find a better way or think the new function do not add value to the product.

Usergroup: 3rd Party Developers and internal testers

Bugs: Beta versions change on a daily release basis and sometimes a couple of times a day.
A beta is not performance optimized!

Reports: Normal users should not use a beta at all if not explicitly told to do so by the staff.

      FINAL RELEASE:
A final release is marked as stable meaning all basic HB functions are covered.
Due to the complexity of the bot a final release may still have bugs.

      Usergroup: All users

Bugs: A final release may still have bugs but it is fully supported.
Not every final release is performance optimized! Fixes > Performance meaning known bugs will be worked on before a performance optimized version is in scope.

Reports: Use the support section to report an issue and make sure to always add a full logfile.

How to report bugs or fix them on your own:
      1. Make sure to install a fresh copy of HB in a new folder. Do NOT copy over old stuff from other installations.
      2. Disable streaming of products in the buddy store of all products. Turn them on one by one to see if on of the 3rd Party products is causing the issue.
If yes turn to the developer in his release thread, otherwise report the issue in the hb support section.
      3. If you create a support thread always add a full logfile showing the issue and describe it as much as possible. A simple "does not work" is not enough.
      4. Show patience! The board has >260.000 other users and not every report can be answered within hours. The internet is open 24/7 but it does not mean supporters are always there :)
      5. Stay kind and on point. Make your thread easy to read which will increase the chance other users will read it and possibly help you.
