I'm 21 years old, a computer science student, and never worked before. I've botted for the last 3 years - starting with RuneScape and now Warcraft using HonorBuddy, which has made enough money to pay for school and live off of. Being able to use HB's api to write plugins, combat routines, and botbases has been amazing for me. I've learned so much from playing around with it, tutorials on here, looking at other people's code, and asking questions on the dev forum! It's helped with school, led me to personal projects (non-bot related), and now helped me start my career. With no work experience, still working on my degree, and a laptop with only a handful of small demos (all but two were plugins or botbases for HB) - I managed to make it through two days of interviewing with 10 different people (including the CEO that played Warcraft), and get hired. It's rated one of the top companies to work for in Texas, and they hire less than 1% of those they interview. They're also willing to work around my hours so I can finish my degree (and pursue grad school). Without HB this would not have been possible. Thank you all very much. As a thank you - I'm going to be buying HB keys and giving them away every week on Tuesdays until the end of March. Giveaway is over! Winners below!
Congrats to the contest winners! Winner: Galaxy Winner: trollniva Winner: James Floyd Pike Winner: flipboi001
I did actually! I showed them all the code for different plugins and my botbase working. The CEO laughed when I told him and we got to talking about botting and Warcraft.
Gratz! You just levelled up in life! It awesome to see something so positive come from something so many view as a negative. I'm inspired
Thats awesome going tbh, i used to bot a lot of runescape, just purely for levels. I dodged quite a few ban waves because of just getting back into wow and being to lazy to set my runescape bot back up ha. Like the villavu forum (scar/simba) i've been a member of their forum since 2006, decided it was to complicated to set up at the time and left it, not even a week later half my friend list was perma banned for using it ha
wow, grats! Maybe I should consider trying to code plugins/botbases/combat routines my self (being a computer science student and all)
