I just upgraded my pokemon go and drove to the store, the game asked me if I was a passenger? Not sure how this will effect the bot but, I plan to use either jog or bike until further notice.

That could be an easy bot test. A bot will let that sit on the screen for hours. While a player removes it right away.

until we know more, I am going to use walk, I'm not sure what speeds will trigger the message, so to be safe, its walking for now.

This update is not preventing any of the bots operations. The 50 km/h mode still works as it should.

EDIT: I probably need to point out that the statement above applies to the latest version (build 1.0.94.0) of the bot. Update your clients if you haven't already.

I have the latest pokefarmer but, its pokemon go that has updated, and I dont remember seeing anything in the pokefarmer change log that handles the "are you a passenger" prompt.

Not really sure how I'm going to explains this, but I believe that the bot doesn't see the game in the same way that we do on our phones. The bot isn't bothered by the popups simply because it doesn't see them. I've been running the bot on the 50 km/h settings for the last 8 hours and there have been no issues at all.

the bot not use this "new version" as same we not forced to use the new version on our mobile, when he get updated to the new version he will also add this check but he wont add it to a version where this chech is not existing

I understand what you are saying but, if the game is expecting that message to be handled and its not, it would look fishy to the game servers. Just like in the early days of Demonbuddy and Diablo III when normal rifts were expecting you to have the stone in your bags but, Demonbuddy (at first) was pulling them from your stash instead.

I'm not saying that the reason they added the prompt is to catch botters but, if the server is expecting a call/action in order for the game to properly work while at certain speeds and it never receives it, that could possibly lead to some eye brows getting raised.

I am a software engineer by profession and write code all day, and for something like this prompt looking for a simple action (clicked on) and not receiving it, would only make sense that the game wouldn't run properly until that action has been handled.

Either way its only speculation at this time, no need to argue.

@Sum1 I think what @Pogosage is saying is that the game is played through a virtual web version of the game or similar. That version is not the same version as you have on your phone. Therefor the bot shouldnt be getting the driving message at all.
