As the title says, i'm trying to figure out if grinding is risky because of high player reports. Or some imaginary # of killing X number of mobs over a certain time span.

If I remember correctly... Blizzard actually tracks grinders, or more specifcally the time people spend grinding. This more than likely comes from the older days when every bot would grind for hours on end. Hence it's almost irrelevant if you never get reported by other players.

I myself love grinding but only do it for several hours (anywhere from 2 - 6 hours at a time). Grinding profiles are easy to write and are almost 100% afk.

It depends on how old youre account is, if you got flagged already, and stuff like this.

No one knows, it's all theory... blizzard can use server scripts and delay bans for up to a month.

Thanks for the replies guys. I created a grinding profile in the most desolate area for 80-85 (I havent seen a soul in 2 hours). I'm going to try this for multiple accounts and post any updates. I do believe they have some sort of algorithm to detect things like grinding. I remember people getting ban back in the glider days.

Once again Ive botted since glider days on my main and never once been questioned by blizzard. even when cata was out i was grinding dragon scales and leather 18 hours a day for months.

personally i belive the older your account the less chance you have of being banned for example ive done every instance every raid up to cata and have over 11000 acheivement points.

      personal opinion.

      Kungen.
