Quick question for someone in the know

will honorbuddy run on a windows 8 machine either as it is or using compatability modes (I would be grateful of factual information and not yes it should)

and please I'm not after change your operating system replies although now I've said it I leave myself open to them.

      Thank you

      Hi, o0osparkyo0o,

Yes, we have a number of Community members running Honorbuddy on Windoze8. But to be honest, those members seem to have more than their share of problems. Best I can figure at the moment, the trouble is not actually Windoze 8, but the fact that it comes pre-installed with .NET4.5.

Honorbuddy was written against .NET4.0, and there are obviously some behavioral differences that M$soft would like to deny or ignore.

What we typically see is that Windoze8 machines occasionally have problems reading and writing memory when communicating with the WoWclient. Much of the time, it is 'harmless'. But many of the times, it prevents the use of a particular profile or bot.

      cheers,

Thanks China - That's the info I needed.

I might just give it a go and see what issues I get as my usual bot no longer works :)
