In light of recent bannings due to gatherit, I've become fairly paranoid about the longevity of my accounts. Is there a way to make it appear the account has been compromised via different IP's? Time line obviously wouldn't fit, but I doubt it could hurt.
I don't know if it'll work but what I plan to do is just run a *** every time I bot and if it comes down to it, when I appeal the ban I'll say I got hacked
You can get a vp n I think, but i highly doubt it would make a difference, you can try though it costs a bit of $$$ for a half decent one.
make sure you DONT have an authenticator and use a V.P.N.. it should allow you to make a reasonable story.. Though this will probably only work once seeing as they make you get an authenticator after you get "hacked"
I think the reason the gatherit profiles had so many issues is there were so many people running the same profile. While working on my own profile I noticed a bot train. Three people were very obviously running a bot all using the same profile. They ended up being almost on top of each other for a while. That's a little too easy to identify and report. Now the next part is a big assumption because none of us know exactly how it works nor what information they keep... If your account is reported as compromised they're going to look for a different IP (MAC address?) logging in and something different. When I do my farming accounts I will level them on one external IP using a reasonable schedule. Then I move them to a virtual machine which has a different external IP, different mac address, hell it even has a different OS. From there I run it with an unreasonable schedule - sometimes up to 20 hours a day. If the account gets reported I have a reasonable case. I was the one that levelled it. Everything after that supposedly wasn't me. There is nothing about it to prove that it was me doing the botting. The one account that got banned I got back easily. Knowing that the account is probably flagged or whatever I now use it just for tiller dailies and professions from the primary external IP. Eventually them evil hackers will take it again and I will put it back on the other machine. In my opinion, getting an account back is 90% the case that you can make in a ticket. As always I know the risks.
Ask a friend to login to your wow acc some times...its another ip than you have. thats enough to "proof" a hack
This is much easier than the other dude proposed, or if you could just log in through a back up computer or another program?
Do it and get banned for GM Defraud, its not worth it, it just isnt But if you want to get banned, you can PM me for the complete guide on how to do this dupe
