are you getting any kind of errors popping up?

one thing you might wanna try is deleting your Honorbuddy/Cache/ folder.

No error message popping up. It just freezes and not responding.

Deleted the Cache folder but nothing changed.

      Still having the problem

I have restarted my computer. disabled anti-virus and similar software. but nothing helped. Downloaded the Honorbuddy again and tried moving it around into several folders including shared and public folders. It always run as Administrator and tried different compatibility modes but with no luck.

      I'm using Windows 7 64 bit.

I make WoW run the 32 bit client version with Direct X 9.

      remove:
      - microsoft .net framework 4 client profile
      - microsoft .net framework 4 extended
      - microsoft visual c++ 2010 x86 redistributable

      restart your pc,
      download the installationwizard from here
      run it as administrator.
after the wizard is done, run windows update. And install all updates for .net & c++
      restart

I have done the above to the letter. But I still have the problem. It just freezes and becomes unresponsive no matter what profile I use.

Attached is another log. Can u find anything in the log that can cause the problem?

I have added an exception in the Firewall. But couldn't figure out how to add it to my Anti-Virus, but I was able to disable the Anti-Virus all together and still no luck.

Below is the basic information about my system.

The Display card is as follows:

The only 3rd party software related to WoW is the curse client. But I only use it occasionally when I want to check for updates for my addons.

      I have disabled all plugins.

I have also deleted the existing Honorbuddy and re-downloaded it and had it run clean with no plugins. The clean one had the refreshments plugin enabled by default and I had it disabled but it didn't solve the problem

Is the previous version of Homorbuddy compatible with the current version of WoW?

If so where can I find it?
If not then will there be an update for Honorbuddy before 5.2?

Also for the record I use AVG anti-virus software. Although I was able to disable it but is it possible that there are some services that are still running? What are other anti-virus software that does not conflict with Honorbuddy?

And also for the record I use Advance System Care from IOBit. Mainly to boost my computer's performance. Although I tried Honorbuddy with or without it running. But I don't know if there are services that it interferes with that are needed by Honorbuddy.

Can you please give me a hint on what services that need to be running for Honorbuddy to keep running properly?

Is there by a chance a still functional version of the old Gatherbuddy? The one that needs macros and stuff. It was simple and needed some tweaking from the WoW client side but at least it was very stable and gets the job done

no, there is no provious version of honorbuddy that is compatible with the latest version of wow.

you can always find the latest version of honorbuddy at http://updates.buddyauth.com/GetNewest?filter=Honorbuddy

there should be a new version of honorbuddy coming out in the next week or so.

AVG should not be an issue, Comodo, is a big offender and causes a lot of issues besides that you shouldnt have any issues.

the only other thing i can think of is reinstalling your frameworks to see if that makes a difference.

no, there is no up to date version of the old gatherbuddy standalone product.

Honorbuddy is awesome but not to the point that I will have a new OS installation.

Ah well.. Thanks anyways guys. I know it took so much time and energy for you to reach a solution for the problem I face, and I am very grateful for that and I thank you again. I guess I have to wait for a newer version or just start doing things manually until I figure out a solution.

not to bash in the thread, but

I have been getting this weird issue too, one moment it works fine, next moment takes forever to load, not with just HB BUT DB Too, normally a restart or 2 fixes it mostly....

also have tried what tony said before once too, and that fixed it aswell, but in all honestly don't want too need to keep reinstalling net framework when the bot doesn't work...

but yeah same issue here more or less, loads takes ages, when it does loads profiles don't load.

      wins 7 64bit aswell.
